Flip the breaker to see if that happens. If you are ok with doing that, you'll find out sooner than waiting for a power failure.

Answer:
It will run until the bucket fills or if you have a hose connected to it for constant draining, it will always run until you reach the desired humidity. Try adjusting the setting so it's a little more humid just to see what happens when it does reach the humidity level you set it at.

Answer:
The fan runs continuously so that the sensor can sample the air constantly. I run mine when I am not home and I turn it off for parts of the day when I am home because my area becomes uncomfortably dry and I tire of the noise after a few hours. The dehumidifier is very effective and this provides an adequate solution to the noise problem without compromising the comfort of lower humidity in my home.

It might, but if you get a hose that's longer, you could drain it into your sump pump catch basin where it will drain to the street.

No, this is a dehumidifier and it does not have any type of pump that will exert water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this product We live in the southeast and I bought this dehumidifier to keep the humidity in the house to a minimum now that it's summertime. We have been running it most of the day for several weeks and it works really well -- I empty it twice a day if it's running pretty much continuously, and it's nice to know all that water is no longer in the household air. It produces some heat around it but that is probably unavoidable for a machine that is working so hard. You can install (or uninstall) optional casters very easily which makes it easy to move around. The noise is not bothersome and I like that it is Energy Star qualified.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 9 Months later, not reliable This worked well for a while, but the humidity reading was never accurate. Eventually it would turn off soon after you turned it on. Will work well for a few weeks and then stop working. To get it looked at, you have to send it back, which is expensive (plus, try not to get it damaged in shipping). Couldn't get a person on the phone to talk it over with. Not a good choice to use on the regular, like we wanted to do in our bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect product for our new house! We literally purchased this product (builder/family recommended getting a dehumidifier) the day we moved into our new 2300 finished sq foot house. We currently have this product sitting in my basement running non stop. Since we've turned it on our house has become instantly more comfortable. It's insane how a product this small can be so quiet and pull so much water/moisture out of the air. Huge benefit, it comes with a drain hose, most other products did not come with one. If you don't have a hose you are constantly having to drain the tank. For the money this is a great reliable product, I highly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money had this unit less than a year--within the 1 year warranty period it stopped working. They emailed me some instructions to take it apart and check some things. Didn't help. Said I can mail it back to them for refurbishing. Some warranty. I would rather apply the money toward a new unit--from a different company. Don't waste your money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dehumidifier! We live in Central Florida and have a bedroom that is at the end of our A/C line, so it tends to be the warmest and most humid. The carpet was feeling sticky which really bothered me. This dehumidifier has really helped make the room feel much more comfortable and has eliminated the carpet dampness and musty smell of the room. It is small, easy to move around and quiet to operate. It does generate some heat if it runs for several hours, so I usually just run it about half the day in the morning and that is enough to keep the room feeling pleasant. I am really glad I purchased this dehumidifier - it does exactly what I needed.
