Answer:
The 2 batteries are in parallel and hooked to the jeep battery using an isolation relay. I use a cigar plug hooked to the two batteries and then just use the harness that comes with the fridge. The relay prevents the deplition of the jeep battery but also allows for the alternator to recharge all three batteries.

Answer:
It comes with a 12 plug that plugs into a standard 12 volt socket that you have in your car. The fridge also turns itself off if it detects the voltage getting too low.

Answer:
Since my useage is short term i didn't have that problem. While there was moisture when I emptied the unit, I just left the lid open after it was turned off and it dried out. The baskets can also be removed and the inside dried with a towel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fits my needs Use freezer for fishing trips to Canada. I carry frozen food to be used while at fishing lodge and to bring fish back with me. Freezer rides in bed of truck under a black bed cover and runs on 12 volt truck power then AC at the cabins. The unit maintain desired temperature even in 90+ outside temperatures. August 9, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Substitute For Ice Coolers! I have been wanting a fridge/freezer for several years to make our longer camping trips a little easier. There are other brands but they are a couple hundred dollars more. A friend of mine bought a Whynter 45 qt. fridge freezer a couple years ago and told me how much easier it made things. I went for the 65 qt. This thing is HUGE! I am sort of wishing I would have went for the 45 qt. The only gripe I would have is the temp adjustment button didn't want to go up much higher than 10 at first. It seems to be a pretty efficient compressor that runs it too. September 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What a fantastic unit Just got back from a 5 day trip to the Mojave desert (it was in the 100 deg. and the fridge did wonderful. We carried enough cold food for 6 adults with no problem. I installed two deep cycle batteries (one in my Jeep and one in my off road trailer). The extra battery capacity allowed the fridge to run the entire time without ever getting close to going off due to low voltage. While the unit is large in size the storage capacity makes it worth the extra space it takes up. Fridge setting was kept at 33 deg. And in maintained that temp within 3 to 4 deg. even after the lid was opened to get food out. I can't think of anything that this fridge could do to make it better! The cover from Amazon is a must though it keeps it colder and prevent scratches. September 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fridge Had to go across country during the summer with valuable frozen items and I used this as a freezer. Along the way I brought it into the hotel rooms at night. It doesn't hold the cold very well if it isn't plugged in (although I think you can buy outer insulation, which might be worth it). As others have mentioned, it isn't light. It is definitely a two person job to lift this thing, but then it is fine---just not one person alone. And as everyone has said (why doesn't the manufacturer listen????) the handles do not inspire confidence. We were, therefore very careful and a bit paranoid as we lifted it for brief moments---on to the luggage trolley and into the room. Also, the temperature does go up and down, but that wasn't a problem because you can set it to a really cold level. I'm just telling you all the little issues, but on the whole it was really great. Never knew you could have such a thing in your car (Honda CRV)! Also, it is about the size of the freezer on top of a 30" fridge. I have used it for about two weeks straight---so far so good. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Product work for two days. I was very disappointed the product would cool down like it should and would not restart until up around 44 degrees. September 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Total junk, I will not be surprised if they discontinue this item I bought the unit in March and went to the Bahamas. when it stopped working two months later we lost thr contents more than 25 lbs of fish fillets. I am not having any success with either Whytner or Home Depot obtaining a refund. I have no confidence in the product and would never use one of their products again. August 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really nice cooler that uses little power This unit separates itself from many 12 volt fridges by the low power consumption, digital temperature control, and the ability to cool down to 8 degrees F. It uses very little power and if you are able to hook it up to 24 volt power, you will be shocked by how little amps it draws and how little it runs to stay cold. The only complaint I have is that the handles are super flimsy and are only good if the unit is empty. I would not even attempt to use the handles with any food or drinks in the cooler. May 12, 2015
