Customer Questions & Answers

Asked by: NEWBATH
Yes you can use this valve but you are better off using the Kohler K-302-K-NA which is a two handle valve without the diverter.

what trim fits this kit ?

Asked by: vzxms
The trim kits suggested by the Kohler representative -- T15231-4-CP (with a bath spout) or T15235-4-CP (without a bath spout) -- is no longer available at HomeDepot (or Can someone suggest another trim kit (I'm looking for 3-handle in brushed nickel finish).

Is there any rough in valve sold at store locations? Or is this an on line only product?

Asked by: James
Yes, but I thought it would be easier to stay with the original brand for a direct replacement in my case. Even though the valves I bought are sold online only

Do the shower body come with the finish parts in front?

Asked by: Alexander
Hello, my name is Sarah with KOHLER Customer Service. I'm glad to answer question. This shower valve does not come with the finish trim (handle/plates). These parts are sold separately. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

Customer Reviews

Widespread 1/2 in. Ceramic In-Wall 3-Handle Valve System with Integral Diverter and 8 in. Centers is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built, smooth, solid, durable and perfect operation I paired this Kohler three-handle valve with a Kohler Coralais trim kit (bought and reviewed separately). It installed as expected and works flawlessly. The valves operate smoothly and without leaks. This unit is all metal, with ceramic valves - a very durable set-up. The diverter valve must be pulled out until water flows from the shower head (a few seconds) and then retracts automatically when the water is turned off. Before installation, I noticed a remnant of the machining process in one of the female threads of the valve. When I used a pick tool to try to remove it, it fell deeper into the valve and out of sight. Attempts to blow it out and flush it out failed. After giving this some thought, I decided to just install the valve, hoping that the brass shaving would flush out after I did the initial flushing of the unit during the first tests. It did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Product, Good Installation I purchased the Kohler wall-mount 3 valve for the tub and shower that I installed in the bathroom that I completely renovated. The feel of the valves, including the diverter, reveals quality and workmanship. My only "less than perfect" comment is that my existing trim that I wanted to use did not match the Kohler threads and adapters, without putting together stacks of other adapters, which would have diminished the quality appearance. I cannot comment on durability because it has only been installed for 3 weeks. I recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Direct replacement I bought this item in order to upgrade my bathtub faucets without having to change the existing holes in the tiled wall and minimize the amount of plumbing work required. It was an exact fit and that made the installation simple and easy. However when I turned the water back on the cold water faucet would not shut off the flow. I called Kohler service and they sent a new valve by 2 day Fedex delivery to fix it. Can't complain about the warranty service it was great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built with high flow rate If your looking for a direct replacement for your old style valve this one is it. One thing i did notice was the shower outlet and tub spout outlet off the valve were not in line and if this was a replacement and not a new install you may have to place a small offset in order to couple up to the existing pipes. As far as value the trim kit for this valve cost as much or more and choices are very limited. I will also add that the handle position of the hot and cold is annoying , They are a quarter turn and if your handles are to the side or horizontal in the off position when you turn the water on your handles will be in the up position when on. Likewise if your handles are in the down position when off it will be sideways when on. I would have much prefered if they were a quarter turn down to turn water on. of coarse if your water supply was to come from the top then you could change that but that would require alot more work by the plumber. Overall thou this valve gives a high flow rate and its well built from what I can see although the internals of this unit looks like its made from plastic I cannot comment on the durability or longevity of this unit at the time.
