Answer:
Technically, about 400 sq. ft. I use it to heat about half that: one 12x10 room and one 8x8 room. The unit is attached to the far wall of the larger room. It will bring both rooms up to temperature moderately quickly, depending on several factors. The smaller room always remains somewhat cooler, of course.

Answer:
It should have been in the box with the heater. If not, you can use any low voltage wired thermostat. Home Depot has several you can buy.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 76 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tiny house heater it's not the sleekest looking heater but it's been sufficient to keep my 200 square foot tiny house in Vermont warm during the winter. April 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So done with electric heat Previously we had a gas heater that had no vent. Fumes were pretty bad. Replaced it with an electric heater that spun the meter off the wall. Decided to try this one. Arrived quickly and no damage. Very attractive and bonus surprise was the wall mount thermostat. Very skilled husband installed it in minimal time. No noise, no fuse. He likes the pilot light. I will have to update in a month and see the difference in the electric bill but I am certain it will pay for itself in record time. March 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible customer service from Williams Purchase this heater a few days ago - ignitor was faulty and pilot light would no stay on so we exchanged. All the while called the 909 number tech support for Williams - no answer and no returned call. Exchanged heater. Pilot light on new one will stay on but when thermostat is raised above 65 degrees, pilot light goes off. Called Williams again - surprised, no answer. We are now waiting for gas company to come see if they can figure it out. Disappointed in these heaters and more disappointed in this company's customer service and tech support. We've spent more on installers and frustration than this thing is worth. Let's hope when the problem is resolved, it actually heats as it's suppose to. Would not recommend because it seems customer service support is non-existent. Maybe if first heater had worked, I would be writing a different review. January 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good frunace The front cover was a little out of square and had to be straightened. January 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good furnace but.... The furnace is just right for the room it's in. However, Home Depot recommended the wrong propane conversion kit. Furnace sounded like a rocket engine. My installer caught the mistake immediately. The problem is Home Depot doesn't sell the right conversion kit. Had to contact the manufacturer to get the right one. A Williams 2939. Now it works great. December 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Williams Direct Vent Furnace The product works perfectly...easy installation. Recommend a professional install if unfamiliar with gas products. Heats the area even better than expected. An excellent replacement for my previous space heater. December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Filled my needs I have a room that does not have heat ducts...hence it has a direct vent wall furnace. I checked other sites and did not find what I wanted at a price that I wanted. My brother suggested I look on your website and lo and behold you had exactly what I needed at a price I could live with. I ordered it on line on a Tuesday and got notified that it was ready for pickup on Friday....I couldn't ask for better delivery. Only trouble I had is that the push button ignition does not work and I have to use a stick lighter to light it. But...I had to use a stick lighter to light the old one. October 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product We bought this for a very small rental unit. We needed something dependable, efficient, trouble free and safe. This unit seems to be all of the above. It heats well and is seems to be performing as stated. We mounted it a little higher up on the wall because with renters you can never assume they will be safe with heating units. The renter is happy and so are we. A good product for the money. December 8, 2015
