Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by David This heater is quiet and works great, produces alot of heat for the size of flame on the burner. I wasn't sure that it would be large enough when buying it but now know that it is more than enough for my house.

it's not the sleekest looking heater but it's been sufficient to keep my 200 square foot tiny house in Vermont warm during the winter.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mhherm Williams wall-mounted gas heater
This unit was a replacement for an old heater that was ~50 years old. This unit mounts ON the interior side of an exterior wall with a 9" hole for the vent. It is intended to stand on the floor (in my case this was not possible because the floor below was a stairway). It is possible to mount a brace on the wall to support the device, although may not be recommended by the mfr. I was able to use gas fittings from the old unit (with proper inspection, for leaks, etc.) making installation much easier. Once the gas line was securely installed, I was able to light the pilot light, and started the furnace by turning up the thermostat. There have been no operational problems at start-up.
The unit was delivered with the legs significantly bent during shipping, requiring some modification. The exterior cabinet was slightly bent. Installation requires putting a hole through the exterior wall, 9" diameter. I was able to use a Sawzall™ for this because the exterior wall was 5" thick at the job site. Thicker walls will be more challenging. My opinion is that the mounting to the wall could be improved (4 screws that are difficult to reach during install). The instruction manual is not very well written in some places: For example, the unit has a manual spark device for igniting the pilot light, but the instructions have no diagram showing where this is located on the gas regulator!
Overall, I am very happy with this device. The biggest challenge to installation was preparing the mounting wall after removing the old device. The price, ~$580 is reasonable. The design of the unit is far better than the old device with repsect to ventilation and installation. I expect operation will be better as well.
I have no experience with warranty, so I am not able to comment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SBL So done with electric heat
Previously we had a gas heater that had no vent. Fumes were pretty bad. Replaced it with an electric heater that spun the meter off the wall. Decided to try this one. Arrived quickly and no damage. Very attractive and bonus surprise was the wall mount thermostat. Very skilled husband installed it in minimal time. No noise, no fuse. He likes the pilot light. I will have to update in a month and see the difference in the electric bill but I am certain it will pay for itself in record time.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Frank Terrible customer service from Williams
Purchase this heater a few days ago - ignitor was faulty and pilot light would no stay on so we exchanged. All the while called the 909 number tech support for Williams - no answer and no returned call. Exchanged heater. Pilot light on new one will stay on but when thermostat is raised above 65 degrees, pilot light goes off. Called Williams again - surprised, no answer. We are now waiting for gas company to come see if they can figure it out. Disappointed in these heaters and more disappointed in this company's customer service and tech support. We've spent more on installers and frustration than this thing is worth. Let's hope when the problem is resolved, it actually heats as it's suppose to. Would not recommend because it seems customer service support is non-existent. Maybe if first heater had worked, I would be writing a different review.

I have a room that does not have heat ducts...hence it has a direct vent wall furnace. I checked other sites and did not find what I wanted at a price that I wanted. My brother suggested I look on your website and lo and behold you had exactly what I needed at a price I could live with. I ordered it on line on a Tuesday and got notified that it was ready for pickup on Friday....I couldn't ask for better delivery. Only trouble I had is that the push button ignition does not work and I have to use a stick lighter to light it. But...I had to use a stick lighter to light the old one.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MountainGal Good furnace but....
The furnace is just right for the room it's in. However, Home Depot recommended the wrong propane conversion kit. Furnace sounded like a rocket engine. My installer caught the mistake immediately. The problem is Home Depot doesn't sell the right conversion kit. Had to contact the manufacturer to get the right one. A Williams 2939. Now it works great.
