I bought this furnace at Home Depot. I can't rate the furnace because Home Depot does not carry the necessary parts to complete the instillation. As the weather turns cold, I'll have wait for the parts to be shipped from a furnace part supplier. It would be nice if they would let the customer know what accessory are needed on the web site ad.

I have never installed a product of this type, although i have considerable experience as a handyman/carpenter. I had been advised to go with contractor to install it, but could not bring myself to pay the quoted $3,600.00 they wanted to put it in. So when i received the heater, i took the time to read the manual, and was relieved that it was easy to understand and straight forward and there was a large diagram of the heater installation on the out side of the box. It took me about two days to remove the old heater and install the new one, including all new venting to the outside. And would you beleive it! As soon as i turned it on, it fired right up and has worked perfectly! I am impressed! The Williams "Monterey" heater is one of the few things i would recommend, and i do.

I purchased this unit to replace a 45 year old Westwood wall heater that finally bit the dust. While the overall designs are quite similar, the new unit is much more efficient - and much quieter. I own a small 2 bedroom home, just under 1000 sq. ft., and use this as my only source of home heating. With the optional blower, it works wonderfully!
Upon removing the old wall heater, I was pleasantly surprised to find that only minimal modifications were needed to accommodate the new unit. As long as you have moderate to extensive home repair skills, installation will not be a problem. However, the unit is quite heavy and does require 2 people to install - one to lift, push and pull; and the other to guide the unit into place. And be sure to wear gloves - lots of sharp edges and only few places to grip the unit.
I'm VERY, VERY pleased with this unit, and would DEFINATELY recommend.

The wall heater works great and looks nice. Was very easy to install. Everything needed to install was in the package. Williams have been my favorite for many years.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jimfaj Simple to install. Off and running, during cold trend.
Simple to install. Hook-up, good thing the instructions were complete, since we couldn't get it to work. Until I read the instruction and noticed that we did not connect the second thermostat (top of heater) to the wall thermostat directly, then to control panel. As soon as we connected wires correctly, the unit was off and running. Suggestion: Highlight this part of instructions. Doesn't mean us guys will read it, but shame on us if we don't...I've gotten older and now I read them!

I recently purchased and had a heating contractor install this wall heater which replaced the one I had. So far, I have had no problems at all with this product. My old heater was 45,000 btu's and heated both bedrooms comfortably. It was very easy to understand and install. I will be purchasing another one in the near future to replace the heater in my living room. I have natural gas and if the power goes out, I still have heat.
I have to give credit to Home depot online and the manufacturer for putting out a product to me that I thought that was extinct...they upgraded it and I will enjoy more long and cold winters to come...

I have been installing these for years. Williams makes a great product. But as I do this professionally the instructions, while great for the homeowner do not advise on every detail. Make sure you always replace the gas flex, never re-use. Make sure you leak test your lines. make sure your flu is not rusted out and the connection is tight, and finally, the most important step, set your gas pressure. These are NOT plug and play and if you do not have the tools, hire a pro. Your unit will run much more efficient, they will know what to look for to make sure you did everything safely, and you will get the longest life out of your unit if you do so. Remember, when dealing with gas, a mistake can cost you your life.
