Customer Reviews

60,000 BTU/Hr Forsaire Counterflow Top-Vent Wall Furnace Propane Gas is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality control Had the same problem as first reviewer. First warning sign when I opened the box was the cast iron burner/regulator assembly (regulator at least was a common Honeywell that instructions can be found for online) just laying loose at the bottom (and not even attached in parallel which was just as annoying). It didn't fall loose from the chassis, it was just never mounted. We referred to the instructions and nowhere did it say the user had to bend the spot welded mounts into the proper place (there were instructions on how to remove it which signifies it should have been mounted properly in the first place). My guess is it came from assembly line defective and the last one in line didn't know how to mount it. So just chuck it in and let it be buyer's problem. Tried to call tech support so we could get a diagram of proper mount (wasn't illustrated in the install guide), but you either get that your call can't be completed or it's a busy signal. That was no surprise from reading reviews of other Williams models. The electrical hookup was easy, but there was initially no power to the unit. Traced it down to the hot lead in the power cord coupling that came loose and was an easy fix. At least that was the only defect and didn't have to troubleshoot a broken part. Sad, but I could have given this four stars if it wasn't for the pathetic quality control. It does work well and it fits the way I wanted to install it in center of the house with optional back vent servicing the rear. Not many other options in this configuration. You'll be happy if you get a unit without these problems, but I thought it inexcusable how it got out of the factory this way. But if you buy with the expectation of doing their work for them, then you shouldn't be too disappointed. Almost brought it back just because I was so ticked off, but it's doing the job I expected. Good luck if you need warranty service on parts, probably easier and cheaper to go it alone if it needs a fix. It is a fairly simple unit that does what you expect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wall Furrnace When package arrived I did not notice any damage. After removing existing furnace we opened up the cardboard .That is when my job just got 10 times harder. The cast iron burner in the bottom of the furnace had come loose from its mounting and bent all of its hardware. We needed to bend back the metal brackets and remount the burner hoping that it did not damage the burner itself. We finally got the furnace installed and all wiring and piping done. We tried to start furnace but the burner would come on but no blower. After reading on the internet I decided that the fan blower limit was bad. Checked at a local HVAC store and found a limit switch that was close to bad part. Installed replacement switch and furnace has been working since
