What size flue pipe does the 65K unit use?

I understand type B pipe is recommended, but what size does the 65K unit use? The downloaded manual and product specs do not tell you that.

Does the pilot stay on all the time?

Asked by: Dorothy
This heater uses a conventional flame type pilot, so yes, the pilot stays on all the time unless you manually turn it off. That said, the pilot does not need to be on except during the heating season.

Does it require any electricity?

Asked by: Kate
The heater doesn't, but if you have a blower attached, it will need 120VAC. However, even if you have a blower installed, the blower does not have to operate for the heater to work.

CO - COLORADO Why does this only work at elevations below 2001 feet?

Asked by: Me
It's been a while, but let me give this a try ... Put simply, at higher elevations, the air is thinner. This changes the oxygen content of the air. Therefore, the air-gas mixture must be adjusted to compensate for this. Williams has models that have been tuned for higher elevations. Just go to their website and download a sales brochure.

65,000 BTU/hr Enclosed Front Console Propane Gas Room Heater is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good heater, poor delivery! Have only used it one night, and it heats our house very well. But was very dented and smashed when taken out of the box. Unfortunately I have small children and live in upstate New York, so I need to use it regaurdless so they are warm.
