I would say the "warranty is NOT void" if you install it yourself. Providing you can describe yourself as a "qualified" installer. If you have enough savvy to install this heater and can be prepared to verbally and intelligently describe your installation activity, then you are a 'qualified" installer. It does not say "licensed" installer. If you know the local codes, and they can be looked up, that Read More
I would say the "warranty is NOT void" if you install it yourself. Providing you can describe yourself as a "qualified" installer. If you have enough savvy to install this heater and can be prepared to verbally and intelligently describe your installation activity, then you are a 'qualified" installer. It does not say "licensed" installer. If you know the local codes, and they can be looked up, that apply and know how to install it, I would say the warranty must hold up. If you are a 'sometime' DIY person and would have trouble navigating through the installation 'as you go', then perhaps you would not be qualified.
I have the feeling there may be a law that PROHIBITS the manufacturer from voiding the warranty if the unit is installed by a 'non-licensed' person. The manufacturer is not in the business of voiding warranties based on the persons who install it, providing they can defend their position as "qualified". I'd say I'm qualified to install my dishwasher, stove, and other appliances, and I have done just that. If I sat down and looked over the codes and installation instructions of the heater, perhaps I'd feel I was a qualified person to do that also. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Read Less

I see that the fan/blower has four speeds. Need to know if adjusted by the installer at the motor or adjusts itself automatically by the demand.
Critical to know the CFM (Cubic Feet Minute) output to properly size the ductwork.
Especially the max output of the fan/blower on all BTU sizes of your company's furnaces, as not listed in specifications. I need at least 1800 CFM for my project.
Please have engineer/tech answer and explain.
Thanks in advance.

PS: Installer can find "Duct sizing" reference in search of www. waptac.org duct sizing. or waptac duct sizing. Use dampers where needed.

Answer:
We agree that the CFM is very important will suggest that the retailer publish this as a required attribute. Not only is this critical for the duct work design, but for matching to A/C applications as well. The model you are asking about has a blower motor with 4 easily adjustable speeds, but a maximum of 1200 CFM. A better match, providing you are using the furnace in an upflow or horizontal application Read More

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the price and works great as well. The furnace was easy to install even for me with no experience. if you can install a water heater, dish washer or any similar household appliance then you can install this furnace. My family moved into our house 3years ago and with the harsh winters and older furnace the house took forever to warm up, with the new furniture it raised the temperature 4 degrees in less than 20 minutes. It runs much quieter than I thought possible. I'm no longer dreading the coming winter. October 28, 2014
