Is it noise?

Asked by: irene
Actually, my response is to the tech. Noise is not relative, it's absolute, measurable at the source. You could have told him something like 76 decibel at 3ft. The he can determine if that is loud for his preference.

What are options for flexable tubular duct work such as used for downward flow applications from attic to upstairs bedrooms?
Asked by: steve
This furnace is multi-positional, so it can be installed horizontally which, in many attic installations, can simplify installation. Please be aware that the furnace will condense and water will need to be drained away from the furnace. Also, make sure to follow the installation manual in regard to attic installations where the temperature can dip to freezing temperatures as this is extremely important. Have a look at the installation manual by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: As this is a good size BTU gas furnace, please make sure you consult with either your technician, or give us a call at 800-879-0123 so we can make sure your are getting a furnace that is sized to deliver the proper comfort to the space based on the sq. ft. and your geographic location. While we do offer plenums and exterior filter racks, we do not offer flexible or metal duct work. The supply and return duct work sizing, however, is critical to ensure proper and efficient operation as well as even comfort is delivered throughout the space. Should you have further questions, please give us a call at 800-879-0123.

Customer Reviews

100,000 BTU 95.5% Multi-Positional Gas Furnace is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid performance difficult installation The installation of the product is not something to be taken lightly. expecially if you are using downdrafting for your ventilation. This is a selling feature of the product over the typical stack mounted venting systems but it creates water as a byproduct. There isn't one but two water exhaust's on this machine and one requires a pump to move the water upstream. This isn't stated in any documentation I've seen. This all being said the fuel use is excellent and the heating ability once the system quirks were figured out is quite good. I would recomend this if you are exceptionally handy. If not get an installer who knows this type of system or you'll have allot of callbacks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Camper Ordered the 120K unit. The company rep called me and reviewed my needs. Changed to 100K unit. Purchased the LP gas conversion unit. I wanted to install it myself. I read through all the instructions several times, and had a licensed installer review everything I did. I not sure if he was surprised how good the instructions were, or if he was shocked by how closely I followed them, but everything went great. Changing from natural gas to LP was not a problem. I even bought a manometer to keep an eye on the LP gas pressure since I've never used LP before. The furnace worked the first time it was turned on. I purchased it in Oct, but family health issues delayed the installation. It went into service on 12/21/12 it has kept us nice and warm. It had a cosmetic dent from shipping, but I just straightened it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great furnace! This was a great replacement of my old lennox. It is a nice compact size. It was a pretty simple installation overall. I converted mine to LP which does require a manometer to set the gas valve pressure. The instructions were very detailed. It is very light, I think it weighed 70 pounds on the pallet.
