what is the difference between forced air and convection ???? I know how it works in an oven but I don't understand how it works in this application. Please advise thank you
Asked by: kody
Forced air systems have either an air handler or furnace with a blower motor to circulate air flow through a duct work system. Electric baseboard heaters are an example of a convection heater where the heat transfer is accomplished by the tendency of hotter and therefore less dense material to rise, and colder, denser material to sink under the influence of gravity.

How heavy of wire do you need

Asked by: Weldon
This 240V unit requires dedicated 60 and 50 amp double pole circuit breakers and should use 6 gauge wire. Always check local codes to make sure this holds true, and keep in mind that wire gauge can change depending on the length of the run from the breaker panel to the equipment.

What size of circuit breakers is needed for this furnace?

Asked by: Fndb
The heat strip in the unit will have two circuit breakers; 60 and 50 amp double pole circuit breakers. They need to be matched to the same size in your breaker panel and be wired with the appropriate gauge wire.
