Answer:
Yes, it is best to remove the screens from your windows. This product produces a foamy soap mixture that would be inhibited by the screens.

I add a tablespoon or two of Jet Dry (for dishwashers) to the bottle. No streaks, no squeegee. We have very hard water.

Answer:
You can't get the minerals out of the water that cause water spots. At least not without leaving behind another chemical water softener on the glass. You really just need to clean it with a squeegee. Or, you could use distilled water which is mineral free. But that much distilled water is going to cost more than hiring a professional window washer.

According to product description it states Won't harm plants, siding, grills, or plastic
Cleans glass, windows, brick and outdoor furniture , I would imagine as long as the panels are sealed like they would be for rain, that it wouldn't do any damage

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used it to clean my solar pane;s We used this product to clean our solar panels. It left them clean without any streaks. September 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by worked well Used this for the first time because my windows were so dirty and spotty. Rinsed windows well, then sqirted with generous amounts of soap, then rinsed well. Next day in the bright sunlight I was happy, my windows were a zillion times cleaner! I didn't have any problems like described in other reviews. I like this product, will definitely use again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your time or money This is the very first time I did a review for any product. I felt that I should help people save their time and money. I followed the instructions, even counting the seconds....streaks everywhere. Very frustrating! I'm taking it back. Why should I be out money for a product that shouldn't be on the shelf! July 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Saves A Lot Of Work !!! So easy to use... All you need is a garden hose.. I used it to clean the solar panel on my attic fan, second floor bathroom window and all the windows on my house as well as my patio furniture that had been sitting outside all winter. All you do is set the sprayer to rinse and clear water comes out to wet everything down, then switch to clean so you can apply the soap, then back to rinse after waiting 20 seconds for it to clean the object, Left no streaks or drips showing on any of the windows or any of the furniture.. I love stuff like this that makes my life easier, Didn't have to get out the ladders to clean the windows,,, Just spray and rinse with great results April 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not use! This product ruined my windows and now there is condensation inside of 4 huge windows in my house. One of the windows is only 2 years old, in perfect condition. I have to replace them all now. June 25, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the window cleaning answer..... I washed the windows as directed, and they didn't look much better than when I started. I did a second washing, and still didn't feel like much had changed. Grabbed the newspaper and a bottle of original Windex, and finally had the results I wanted. Some day there will be an actual cleaner that you can hook up to the hose and do a soap and rinse, but for today, not this product. April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Need gallon refill as 1 isn't enough Live in Florida, many windows and salt/ sand dirties Windows and house constantly. I used this and had squeegee to wipe as I went perfect Windows ! Cleaned side of house and pool deck well. Need gallon refill as it is wasteful to buy individually and I need 3 of these at least to do house and lawn furniture. September 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by great concept; terrible engineering, or manufacturing Most people need a product like this to clean windows they can't reach. But it needs to be engineered and manufactured right. The control valve on MY unit, at least, was imperfect at best. In cleaning three adjacent windows on the second floor, I discovered the rinse setting on the dial was not releasing clean water. It was still releasing a lesser volume of the cleaning solution. I could not get a clean rinse unless I turned the dial down halfway to OFF. That reduced to water pressure to a useless volume. In the process I used almost the entire bottle on three windows!!!
