I just installed a Moen grab bar that cost just a bit more than this fastener kit. As mentioned in other reviews, the screw holes (or screw shaft) of this fastener are offset from the center of the holes that you'll drill, so check your grab bar mounting holes and measure carefully before drilling. You'll need either a 3/4" drill bit (one is recommended on the package) or a 3/4" hole saw. I used a hole saw and it worked well. Also, decide exactly where you want the grab bar before applying the foam drilling template; it's almost impossible to remove without taking the paint off the wall if you try. You may need gloves to push the wings through the hole; it's a very tight fit. Finally, If you need help, go to www.wingits.com and watch the installation video. Note that Moen offers an installation kit that requires only one hole to be drilled per side, but it's much more expensive.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Handymanmike Quick grab bar solution
Seems to work good but be careful drilling holes in wall as the black base plate is off center and may not line up if yoy are using a bar with 3 holes only.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by WB Not OEM WingIts. Online help is virtually none existent
Printed instructions are only moderately helpful. And there are no video instructions available online. There are videos for related products, but not this one. Why? Home Depot sells repackaged WingIts (did a Home Depot exec set up his brother in law in business?) Next time I'll buy OEM WingIts instead. That way I can call the company and get real help from the manufacturer.

The offset just about got me into trouble on the first one. I watched the installation video a second time and had no issues after that. I decided to use the adhesive backed foam sealer that also acts as a template, even though I was installing a toilet grab bar.
I had a 3/4" wood boring bit already which worked fine on my drywall.
When complete, I have a rock solid professional installation.
These are a bit pricey but worth it IMHO.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rlatham Best hollow wall anchors available
These anchors are the first I have ever found that can deliver exactly what they promise! Being retired from the building trades I have used most every hollow wall anchor on the market. Most can install clocks, pictures, shelves even earthquake anchors. These are the first anchors I have ever found that can actually anchor ADA grab bars. All you need to do is follow the directions for the anchors. I’ve used these now with 5/8 standard and green board drywall, tile with both thin set on drywall and tile with mastic on concrete backer board. All of these installations gave excellent results. Remember to get there Apache 3/4 drill for tile installations. These are my new earthquake anchor for TVs and heavy cabinets along with ADA grab bars!

We bought this for my mother in law and installed it in the bathroom. She can now stand and get up without the worry of falling. They are sturdy and installed in minutes.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mike great product
I was a little apprehensive at first, but after I installed the wing-its for my bathroom grab bars I was amazed!! I was apprehensive because of drilling a 3/4" hole in ceramic tile could be a costly mistake. But I followed the instructions, purchased the proper bit, and made it look like a pro installed it!!
