Answer:
Have right hand drain style, I am currently installing new shower pan,
Will a Dreamline slimline shower base/pan work with this.
HomeDepot model # DLT-1130602
Should I have any concerns with leaking after installation? How tight does this fit over the existing pipe? How tight of a seal? Seems like the only thing separating a possible leak is the o-ring..?
Thanks

Any ideas to tighten shower drain on corner shower with sub floor?

I live in an older home with a 7' x 9' bathroom that had a warped floor from a 500lb ceramic claw foot bathtub. the previous owner put a sub floor down before raising the floor to even it out, thus... there is extra floor to run drain pipe. I put a corner shower in, with plastic base, and had another guy route out the hole for the drain. the hole is a little bigger then the drain, but my problem is i cannot use the nut to tighten the drain down to the floor because of the sub floor being down. I did however put floor jacks in to push up the floor some to even it out a little more, but i still have the problem of not being able to tighten down the drain to the floor. I did however hook up the 2" drain pipe, and then secured the drain pipe coming up to the drain through both floors with foam that expands up to 3 times the size, and also caulked around the top of the drain that seats in the plastic base. this is however just temporary, so i am looking for an extension pipe that i can get with a female screw on one end to screw on the drain, while at the other end of the pipe, it threads into a square base that i can screw into the flooring in 4 corners of the square base. let me know if you can make this, or you have a better idea. My idea seems very logical and i believe it would work.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product! The shower drain worked exactly as stated, with simple instructions it was easily installed in about fifteen minutes. Saved us a lot of expense if we would have had to replace the drain any other way! July 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Shower drain Nice product for fixing a leaky shower drain and can do it from above to avoid cutting drywall! Put it in two weeks ago and so far no leaks. It moves with the flexible shower base and makes a little squeaking noise but does the job to date July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The perfect fix The perfect professional fix for my leaking shower drain. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simply genius Incredible product. If your fiberglass shower drain is broke this is the ONLY product you should think about buying. Anything else is a nightmare scenario. Once I got this home it took about 10 minutes from start to finish. June 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product I needed to install drain in shower pan that was installed over a crawl space that could not be accessed from the bottom. The WINGTITE SHOWER DRAIN was the answer. June 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy and truly a solution Installing a shower in basement with drain pipe previously installed by builder. Couldn't figure out how to install a drain into the concrete floor until I discovered this. It installs from the top, much easier than trying to line up pipes and then place the stall on top. Works great! April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by "From the top" repair option I never attempted a "from the top" shower drain repair but felt it was worth a try on a difficult "old house" situation. Years ago I had installed a conventional shower drain and it was next to impossible to tighten the retaining ring from below. This product allows you to do all the necessary sealing and tightening from the top. There is an online video which goes over the installation procedure. A picture is worth a thousand words and the video was very adequate to instruct a novice like me, No leaks were observed after installation and I am very happy with the results. January 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Problem solved Shower Drain came off so I wondered how would I fix this without removing the shower pan. Then I found Wingtite Shower Drain worked Perfect first try and like I was a pro. June 18, 2015
