Of the four air cleaners we own, this has instantly become my favorite. The controls are very intuitive and easy to use, the cleaner does a fantastic job at keeping the air in an average size bedroom clean, and the size and design allow the unit to be placed almost anywhere.
The auto-sensing control seems to work flawlessly, occasionally cranking up the airflow to recover from the dog sneaking into the room or some outside impurities manage to find their way in. It also gives us peace of mind that the air quality in the room is good without having to worry about allergies or asthma triggers for our infant while he plays or sleeps.
The light sensor is a genius feature, instantly dimming the control panel and silencing the air cleaner when we turn the lights out after tucking our son in. And by silent, I mean the air cleaner continues to run while making less noise than the ceiling fan!
I was not familiar with this brand or line of air cleaners, but it is absolutely the best I've ever seen or used.

This Hepa Air Cleaner is one of a few air cleaners that I've used. As the lightest plastic cleaner I've used, but easiest to use, I worry about how long it will last in a room full of cats. It looks nice in the room, streamlined. The light weight will make it easy to mount on a wall out of the way of my cats.
The Cleaner came with 3 extra charcoal filters, I replaced one after a week. They're washable. I'll replace mine often. The plastic front slides on with two grooves at the top and two pieces of breakable plastic that slip into holes at the bottom , It is fragile so care needs to be taken to not
When compared against criteria for Hepa filters in a nuclear power plant, fit and leaks, the light plastic appears to be too flexible. The filters don't sit tight enough in the case. It has gaps where the filters fit. With this filter fit I assume that 100% of the air is not being cleaned, but I dont like numbers.
I've been running the Cleaner on high since I set it up, about a week ago. It's quiet.
The replaced Charcoal filter has lots of cat hair, pictured. The other pictures show the cat hair didn't make it to the White Hepa Filter or behind it to the plastic part of the cleaner. There is no dust or hair sitting on top of this filter. The Hepa Filters are not cheap to replace.
The tiny glow you see on the Cleaner is the light on top. It reflects on the sides of the Cleaner, replacing my night light! That cuts one electrical bill. This light is a digital system that apparently
can turn the Plasma technology off and on. According to what I read real Plasma cleaners can get
rid of VOC's. I don't know of a way to test this system at home.
Despite this hair in the room the light on the top has Never changed from Green (good air quality) to Red (bad air quality).
I'm not familiar with the Winix Brand. I checked their name at the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission. As of now, they've never had a recall. I'm running this cleaner night and day in a room where my best friends live. A couple of them have sneezing/allergy type reactions to seasons. Sneezing has been low as of the last week.
I have a respiratory condition and have improved breathing at night. Overall, compared to the other Hepa filters I've owned, I'm happy with this right now.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OCEANSIDE Quiet and intelligent operation with great results
This unit sets up in minutes, just remove shipping tape and place the filter and grid in place and plug it in. It comes with four filters which is nice.
There are 4 fan speed modes, but I run mine in automatic mode and it continuously monitors the air quality and updates the display showing the current state in real time. When the unit detects the air quality is bad, it kicks into high mode to remove the impurities.
It performs 3-stage air cleaning, with a carbon filter to remove large particles (and protects the HEPA filter). Then the HEPA filter removes the pollutants from the air, and finally the Freshome Plasma-Wave technology breaks apart the allergens and odors at a molecular level.
The result is nice fresh air. I suffer from allergies and this unit really helps keep the air clean. I use it in my bedroom which is 10' x 15'.

I've had an air cleaner in my bedroom for a long time. Eventually I got used to the bright lights and loud noise. I never knew that there was a better alternative before I got the FreshHome air filter. The air cleaner is perfect for bedrooms as it automatically dims and quiets down when the lights are turned off. It also detects the air quality in the room and kicks up filtration when it senses poor air quality. The dual stage filtration uses both hepa and carbon filters. I never realized how well this filter works until it was time to change the filter. The unit will notify you when it is time to change the filter, although the manual recommends changing it every few months. The carbon filter was covered in dust and who knows what. The replacement filters are expensive but I'm OK with spending the money considering how much dust this thing can pick up. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mastadruma Need cleaner air? This HEPA air cleaner will definitely do the job.
The new FresHome HEPA Air Cleaner is great! I was able to put this in a guest room in my home that always had a bit of an issue with air flow. This was a middle room of 3 and is at the far end of the AC exchange. Taking the Air Cleaner out of the box, I see that it is basically assembled and required minimal time to put together. All you have to do is remove one of the carbon filters from the sealed bag. These are good for about 3 months. You mount the carbon filter to the baffle with the supplied velcro and then sandwich it with the HEPA Filter. Now, I experienced an issue here. I feel like you need to use a bit of tape to keep the filter and screen in place. If you just put on the outside cover, it leaves room for the filter to slide forward and be less efficient. That aside, the unit is very quiet and cleaned up the smell and quality of the air in the room. The air smells clean and fresh. I cannot wait until the winter months to really get the best from this unit. The housing and buttons are quality.

I recently received and began using the FresHome Air Cleaner. Set-up is easy and takes about a minute. All you need to do is slip in the filter and peel of protective plastic. When running it's very quiet (slightly louder on the stronger settings). The control panel on top is easy to read and use. I've been using it in a room of my kitchen that doesn't have great ventilation and I've found it useful in eliminating lingering smells from cooking. It has a neat display that alerts you to the air quality. It's compact and inoffensive looking so I don't mind having it out in the room (it needs a little clearance from the wall to circulate air properly).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HDKevin Very quiet operation for clean air
I use this in a 12" by 12" bedroom.
There is a noticeable difference in the air smell after the cleaner runs for a few hours. The filtered air coming from the machine has a clean fresh smell.
It is very quiet even on high settings. The Turbo speed is still quieter than a box fan on the lowest setting.
The operating lights are very bright and illuminate the room. I have not yet found a way to dim them

I set it up in minutes. Just need to unwrap filters and install. It comes with 2 extra filters. It runs super quiet and lets you know how clean the air is. It looks nice too.
