Will it work with the S900i rainbird timer

Asked by: dyudinsky
Yes, this Rain Sensor is designed to work with the Rain Bird timer models SST400i, SST600i, SST900i, SST600o, and SST1200o, so it works with all the SST indoor and outdoor models currently made. The only timers it does not work with is the SST Smart outdoor models which are no longer made. Those came with a different rain sensor.

Will it work with Rain Bird ST-600i

Will it work with my Controller? I have Four pumps (outside) connected to the Controller in the garage. Does the Rain Sensor attach to the Controller (wire runs from outside to inside)? Where does the Rain Sensor get its power?

Customer Reviews

Wired Rain Sensor is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Luck with this sensor The wick inside does not absorb enough water to deactivate the micro switch inside no matter what you set it too. Completely in the lowest rain setting and poured a bucket of water through the sensor opening on top and still will not turn off/deactivate the clock.l

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just that simple!!! I matched the Rainbird wired rain sensor to the Rainbird meter as shown in the directions and it went together that well. I just had to wait until it rained and watched as I saved money and a job well done...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts watering system IF it happens to rain Easy to install, but unknown if the unit works well since there has not been any rain to check. The mechanism is quite simple and the old unit could have easily been repaired by replacing only the switch, if it was made available. Since the old wiring went underground, I twisted and soldered the connect wiring, then applied heat shrink insulation tubing. I had to replace the new bracket with the old bracket because it was too short. A small level is handy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unknown quantity Construction and materials appear flimsy, however it is early days so it may eventually prove to be adequate. I have no idea whether it works or not as we have not had any rain with which to test it.
