Works perfectly with the newer timer controls. Multiple adjustments, amount of rain, length of drying. Would recommend for anybody looking for an accurate rain sensor control. Easy to install.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JE Cuts watering system IF it happens to rain
Easy to install, but unknown if the unit works well since there has not been any rain to check. The mechanism is quite simple and the old unit could have easily been repaired by replacing only the switch, if it was made available. Since the old wiring went underground, I twisted and soldered the connect wiring, then applied heat shrink insulation tubing. I had to replace the new bracket with the old bracket because it was too short. A small level is handy.

Construction and materials appear flimsy, however it is early days so it may eventually prove to be adequate.
I have no idea whether it works or not as we have not had any rain with which to test it.

The wick inside does not absorb enough water to deactivate the micro switch inside no matter what you set it too. Completely in the lowest rain setting and poured a bucket of water through the sensor opening on top and still will not turn off/deactivate the clock.l
