Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing at best... I've had an older pair of this short style snips and lost'em so I replaced them with these and I am here to say these are very disappointing. They say they cut to 16 Gauge but that is not so as they barely cut 20 Gauge Material, Aluminum at that. They seemed a bit too bulky and this new head design dose not reach the tight sports that the former did with ease. The seem to be made with quality materials but for their price they are NO BARGAIN. They boost of having a flat joint but I saw no real benefit to it as it made the actual blades much wider. The cut was horrible and I could not cut an Aluminum transition strip, there just seemed to be no real leverage. My former pair cut this transition strip like cardboard but these snips failed so I returned them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It did what it was supposed to do without problems. I needed to cut several hundred pieces of wire. These cutters performed as advertised from the first cut to the last. The blades appeared to be as sharp as when I took it out of the package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Had a pair of these for years and I finally lost them on the job. Went to buy a replacement pair but Home Depot was out so I purchased a set of the most expensive straight Wiss snips. They don't have the cutting power of the "M-5's" and they redesigned the mechanism to hold the tool closed which I dislike. I'm an electrician so I don't have to make long cuts in sheet metal but for cutting flexible metal conduit and heavier gauge metals this product is ideal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from mhhh Wasn't able to cut any 16 ga metal with this. I've used similar in the past and they all fall short. Time for a new design and cheaper guys. Its just a pair of snips~

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great for electrical box KO trim My old craftmans snips finally died after 20 plus yrs of light use. These snips cut heavy gage metal with ease.
