I was able to use this product to coat/protect the bottom of my fence posts and it worked great. I used the dip method and thought it worked much better than painting it on. Highly recommend but use precaution when handling the product.

This green liquid is wonderful to extend the life of all lumber, anywhere including pressure treated lumber. When you cut or trim lumber you expose raw wood , even on pressure treated wood , this material soaks in and really adds protection from invasive bugs and other crawly things. I have used this product many times and the only draw back is that it has an amazingly long lasting pungent odor. Having said that I would not build anything without using this product on any wood that is exposed to underground or exterior conditions.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tony Good product, requires careful handling
This product is designed to protect wood , exterior applications. It is easily applied via a brush or spray bottle, it does have a pungent odorand if it gets on your hands or skin it takes some efffort to remove it
We used it on a wood addition that has both pressure treated and non treated wood to eliminate infestation of whatever. We used this product previously and it does exactly what they promise, every bug or other insect leaves the wood alone PERIOD

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Joey A longer life for exterior wood.
This product is one of the best wood preservatives I have ever used. I highly recommend Woodlife® for all applications where the wood may come in contact with the Earth. Unfortunately, you will have to order online as it is not a stock item and your local Home Depot.
Where I want the project to look aged I mix 50/50 Woodlife® and black latex paint. When dry it will provide a weathered gray appearance and greatly extent the life of the wood. I have also done the same using red latex to offer a weathered redwood aspect.
Application is easy using a brush, roller, airless spray or dip. Regardless I highly suggest that you use latex or rubber gloves. Cleanup is a breeze using soap and water.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by PTrout Won't know if it's any good until I see how it stands up for awhile.
It goes on easy, like water, and the smell lasts for quite awhile. Have to wait and see if it holds up.

Great product. If used as directed the smell is not an issue. The insects hate the smell also. Also it is not a stain. The green is just the color of the product. It helps tell you where you've already treated the wood

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Backwoods Great for fence posts and wood fences.
I used to use old fir logs for fence posts untreated for a quick fence but after awhile they rotted at ground level. but I put up a fence around my garden using 7 foot lengths of Doug fir for post and braces and soaked in this stuff they not only look good and rustic but they're still holding up strong even the partly rotted brace. It's good stuff, but the smell stays with you awhile. I'd suggest wearing gloves and coveralls when using it.

Product applied easily, and looks to be doing as it said it would. With the smell of it before it drys it should deter most anything.
