Beautiful color, stays mixed quite nicely, not too stinky. We're thrilled with our choice to use this stain.

Have bought this stain before, should be fine again. Problem was with rebate. Website indicated rebate was available for this stain on the individual product page, however despite indicating the product had a rebate ultimately this product was not eligible

Had a new 6' Cedar fence installed in October along our property line abutting the alley. As I paid a lot for this fence I wanted to keep it in good shape. The online reviews tended to indicate this product (made by Rust-O-Leum) is exceptional. It was pricey at about $140 for 5 gallons. I purchased a $40 Echo pump sprayer in anticipation of applying the finish in this manner, but that was a bust -- it just pepper-sprayed the fence. Finally, sorted to using rollers and a 5" stain brush. Since the wood was very rough and porous, the finish really soaked in. We used 4 gallons to cover about 480 square feet: a 70x6 fence section. Bottom line, from the pictures it appears really good and enhances the look of the wood; now the test will be how it hold up over time.

I was a bit nervous, as this was my 1st attempt at staining a deck,& this was an old deck. I powersprayed 3 days prior, then went to town. Dried beautifully, shows the grain of the wood beautifully, and water beads on top now! Excellent product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TKG425 I absolutely love the look of this stain on my fence!
I spent hours researching products in stores and on-line. This product had very good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier. My fence was about two years old and had lost almost all of its beautiful cedar color. I power washed it, gave it a few days to dry, and applied 10 gallons of the F&P Cedar stain and the look is amazing. It has a dark, rich look and I love that it shows all the wood grain beneath it. We had a good rain about 24 hours after application and it repelled the water very well. You can't go wrong with this product. I've had numerous compliments from my neighbors and I just applied it a few days ago.

Ordered to cover new fence 8' x 64' board on board, 5 gallons covered the face side of the fence. Fence looks really nice. Blends in with the background better. Wife really likes the color.
Used a combination of hand pump sprayer, brush, and roller. Used the sprayer to get the side edges and the face of the setback boards, used the brush to smooth it out, and used the roller for the face boards. Took a majority of the day to complete the job.
The cover has no pour feature, think about getting a 5 gallon roller thingy, worked right from can. Used plastic container to scoop and poured into sprayer.

My deck was 15 years old and had never had anything done to it. It looked really bad but now after a thorough cleaning and applying this stain it looks great. I couldn't be more pleased. It took a lot of stain since the wood was so old and weathered but it must have worked because it really beads up after a rain.
I applied using a roller and a cheap brush for the cracks where the roller couldn't get. Although the directions say to use mineral spirits for clean up, I just discarded the roller and brush after I was finished and cleaned up everything else with Mr. Clean and water.
Ceder is a great color for me. I've attached a photo to show what the color is on the weathered wood and on new wood. The top and rails are new wood and the spindles and decking are old wood.

F & P have a great product here. Looks really nice, though I will suggest if you are painting a new fence to paint it sooner rather than later having to pressure wash, etc, the old. Can see a difference between the new/old fence but it covered up nicely on the old fence with a second coat. (in the picture new fence is left to middle of pic and then the old fence - old fence has more of a glossy look to it)
Started using an electric spray gun (Wagner) and that worked for about 5 feet of the 1700 sq. ft, - a lot of solids in the stain even after straining. Went out and bought a Husky $35 dollar air compressor "sprayer" and the thing worked perfectly. - though I did still strain the stain before use.
Water beads and runs right off the fence now and it looks really good!!
