I got this on a friend's rrecommendation for my upstairs (covered) patio deck, which hadn't been sealed in years (just got the house). It worked really well and was easy to apply. I underestimated how much I needed, so I had to order another, but will finish the deck and apply a second coat when the rest arrives. The deck soaked it up very well, so it will need a second coat.
I ordered enough to do the underside as well. I had to use a roller on the stick to even out a few puddles, but mostly it went on very evenly. In a year or so's time I'll remind myself to update the review to see how it has gone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amy Great product!
This was so easy to use and my deck looks so good! I did have to use a roller and brush in places where the liquid pooled a bit (my deck boards are a little warped), but the result is great. I used one coat on most of the deck, sprayed and brushed a second coat on the boards that were particularly faded and worn. Dried in about an hour and put deck furniture on same day. The best part is that the deck is smooth and sealed. I can even walk on it in bare feet without fear of splinters! Water beads up when it rains. Hope it lasts through the winter as well. If not, I will apply again next year as it was so easy and quick compared to traditional stains. Soap and water clean up of brush as well. Highly recommend this product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Oldboss Good Product
This product goes on easy but did require rolling after spraying each area in stages. My deck boards are a little cupped and the liquid tended to roll to the bottom so rolling out was required. It dried quickly in the 90 degree heat and moderate wind we had that day. I covered 594 square feet of flat surface, 9 4x4 posts and the railing on the deck with 3.25 gallons. When dry, the surface is slippery. It has been 8 days since I completed the project and some of the slipperiness has subsided. The color is beautiful. The wood grain is accentuated. It does not feel as rough as it was. I am no longer afraid to walk on it barefooted even though I did not sand any rough areas or do anything special to the cracks in the wood. We had one light rain shower since I applied the wood preservative and it beads water well. It does take longer for the moisture to evaporate. Moisture doesn't soak into the wood anymore.
If it lasts as long as reviews have stated, I will be extremely pleased. I do recommend this product for it's easy of application and how it enhances the deck when dry.

The product is first class. Two of the three sprayers had broken pump handles.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Maverick Past my expectation
When I decided to buy this I was concerned that it was too good to be true. It is easy to apply as long as you realize there will be overspray and you cover anything you don't want sprayed. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was that on horizontal service it is great but on vertical surfaces you better have a brush ready because it will run. I would recommend this for patios and will purchase it again when the time comes

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ladylisa Easy to use
This was so easy to use. Although I did not use the container it came it I put it in a battery powered sprayer so I did not have to pump it all the time. The container it came in the hose is not long enough for me to do the fence, I would have had to hold the container up the whole time way to heavy for me. It did not go nearly as far as they said it would, I had to by 3 times as much as they said I would need. Unfortunately I found this out after running out of product a 1/3 of the way in.
That being said I really like the product and the ease of use was great.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Serf Very pleased with Wood RX.
Although I had no defective sprayers I'd say you would have to be a master to attain even coverage by spraying and walking away. I sprayed and hit it with a $5. deck stain applicator to even out the coverage and had great results. Two coats provided a good heavy seal. Reminds me of what Thompson s used to be.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by C1070 Want a perminant beautiful deck soslution
The U.S. Navy and marine Corps had problem with the long term storage of landing force readiness materials aboard ships. Wooden crates used to store these materials would rot in the damp holds of ships and have to frequently be replaced. A contract with industry resulted in a solution decades ago using sodium silicate polymer and is available to the general public under the SealRx brand and must be applied by a contractor trained in its application. SealRx uses moisture to grow the polymer string inside the wood essentially with glass. The more it rains, the better the seal. Thus the wood cannot rot, crack, warp, etc. it is guaranteed to last forty years. That is a life cycle much longer than composites that degrade over a few years. The only issue is the credit card thin area next to the surface of the wood that can .become grey. Although oxyclean and a scrub brush quickly cleans back to bright wood grain, a stain is needed that is compatible with SealRx. WoodRx is the perfect solution.
Ten years ago Home Depot Installed my deck. I contracted Morris Seal in Northern Virginia to apply SealRx to seal the deck. I waited about 1-2 months ensuring the deck was exposed to enough moisture to grow the polymer inside the wood and seal the deck. Morris Seal ensured WoodRx is compatible with SealRx. I applied woodRx on all deck surfaces above and underneath. Since then I have only cleaned the deck and applied WoodRx to the the high traffic surfaces every three years. My deck continues to look new with the same beautiful finish. This is by far the best and most cost effective deck solution available.
So WoodRx is an outstanding product that lives up to its advertised claims. However, the total solution with Morris Seal and the SealRx product is the best long term deck solution especially if you want to see the beautiful wood grain appearance year after year without the agony of annual refinishing required by all other sealers and deck stains available today.
