I might be able to answer this question if I could tell what kind of 2 inch fasteners these are. What brand are these and what are they used for? Unfortunately the item description is too vague and the picture is too small for me to be able to tell which fasteners these are.

Good morning, Yes, our panels expand and contract slightly with changes in temperature. Pre-drilling, and not over tightening the fasteners, ensures the panel can accommodate this thermal movement appropriately.

Answer: 
The screws are not self tapping however I used these before and was able to drill them into the fiberglass and wood without pre-drilling with my Ryobi cordless drill without any problems.

The fasteners are galvanized. They are all a silver color, we do not offer matching colored fasteners.

Our fasteners come from two different vendors, both fasteners are approved for use with our panels.
