Rated 5 out of 5Â by GaryWasher Very sturdy construction
This is no cheap extension. It is a very sturdy one with an outer fiberglass tube and an inner hex shaped aluminum tube. It has a very secure feel to it with a good click fastener for the two sections. The threads to attach your main tool are aluminum, not plastic, so this will likely outlast your tool. The tubes have 4 selectable and lockable lengths from 2 feet to 4 feet. A foam handle grip is at the other end. Only one feature is possibly missing and that would be a way to hang it from a wall or bench. On the downside, you might spend too much time cleaning it at the end of a paint job, since it looks so nice.

I was glad to see Home Depot switch to the Wooster extension poles instead of just the Mr. LongArms, but as a professional painter I much prefer my Wooster GT Convertible over this GT. It has a latch hole that works with the Wooster Sherlock roller frame so that the frame does not twist itself off over time (or become loose because of twisting as I roll). It also has a threaded adapter for regular thread-on frames and other tools (thus the "convertible" function). I was disappointed that HD took this alternative instead of the one that is better yet for the same price or less.

This product is well made. I'd prefer this (pin action) over the twist action extension poles. The pin allows the pole to stay in place when in use.
