Product Overview

The Wooster 9 in. Professional Roller Frame has a unique retaining spring that securely holds the roller to prevent it from walking off a cage. After painting, the cover removes with a single rap of the frame on the edge of a paint bucket. Its twin bearing system eliminates friction that causes graying and streaking in paint. The cage provides uniform, full-span support of the roller cover to prevent it from going out of round. Its handle is threaded for easy attachment to all extension poles.

  • Durable fiberglass-reinforced nylon cage and end caps
  • Polypropylene grip with reinforced threads
  • Retaining spring securely holds the roller
  • Smooth bearings eliminate graying and shank wear
  • Threaded handle for easy attachment to all extension poles
  • Cover removes with a single rap of the frame on the edge of a paint bucket

Answer:
sherlock gt extentsion poles are a great investment, they lock the sherlock roller frame in place with a simple locking pin, so they wont loosen up.. It also has an adapter for other brand roller frames that screw on the ext. pole. These poles are very strong and are practically indestructible.

Yes, a 4' wood dowel pole which then had to be sanded down after a nasty splinter. Where has the quality gone? /sigh

I use the Sherlock extension poles and this frame mounts with a click and locks on the hex indent at the base of the handle. This keeps the frame from twisting off the pole when I get into a corner. Holds paint roller covers secure and is a breeze to clean. I like tools that last and perform well and this is probably the 10th one I have had to purchase over the years I've been painting (40). I won't waste my money on the cheap throw away pieces since this will outlast a dozen or more of those. If you plan on painting more than just a wall invest in a good tool. This is it.

Great for standard 9" roller covers...it actually stays on the handle instead of slipping off like the cheaper ones. It's affordable too. Just as good as the purdy one, just don't soak it in water or else its gonna squeal like a pig.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These wooster rollers are great! I'm no pro, just a DIYer, and I had a big, whole house paint job to tackle. Prior to getting started, I had purchased a couple cheap roller frames at the local big box store. They rolled terribly,, a bit like a square tire...whomp whomp whomp...and the paint job was looking ugly. really thinking that all roller frames were the same, I figured it was my technique. I turned to the internet for some advice, and after doing some research and checking some message boards - everyone (professional painters) recommended the Wooster frames. I went out a bought a Wooster. What... A... Difference... Rolls smooth as silk, and helps keep my inexperience from showing up in my paint work. Extra bonus: Wooster products are made in the USA. IN THE USA PEOPLE! Are Wooster's products more expensive than the cheapo ones? Sure. AND THEY ARE WORTH EVERY (expletive) PENNY. Support those friendly folks in Wooster Ohio who make the best dang paint tools in the world. PS. I picked up a Wooster handheld paint cup, the one with the rubber handle and the magnet that'll hold a paintbrush. You should buy that too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rollin Great roller. A little pricey for a roller. ( I go through them quickly) much better than the orange handle one.
