I'm no pro, just a DIYer, and I had a big, whole house paint job to tackle. Prior to getting started, I had purchased a couple cheap roller frames at the local big box store. They rolled terribly,, a bit like a square tire...whomp whomp whomp...and the paint job was looking ugly. really thinking that all roller frames were the same, I figured it was my technique. I turned to the internet for some advice, and after doing some research and checking some message boards - everyone (professional painters) recommended the Wooster frames. I went out a bought a Wooster. What... A... Difference... Rolls smooth as silk, and helps keep my inexperience from showing up in my paint work. Extra bonus: Wooster products are made in the USA. IN THE USA PEOPLE! Are Wooster's products more expensive than the cheapo ones? Sure. AND THEY ARE WORTH EVERY (expletive) PENNY. Support those friendly folks in Wooster Ohio who make the best dang paint tools in the world. PS. I picked up a Wooster handheld paint cup, the one with the rubber handle and the magnet that'll hold a paintbrush. You should buy that too.

this is the second one I have owned. Last one lasted years. Ended up losing it when I moved. Easy clean up. Just hit it on the lip of the trash can and the roller comes off.

Roller cover slides out. It did not stay in while painting; had press it toward the handle while painting. That became messy and annoying.

Handle doesn't bend and lock roll in so it doesn't keep slipping off and creating roll marks. Spend the extra money it will be worth it

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ninanana No match for Behr Deckover
This is a nice enough roller frame, but it cannot keep up with the Behr Deckover on my project. Unfortunately, the Deckover is too heavy and the cover "walked" off the roller just like all the others I had tried. Disappointing.

Only kind I ever buy. I was a contractor for 30 years. As a homeowner/painter this frame will outlive you.

I was looking for a roller frame that wouldn't 'catch' and 'stick' as I used it. Other, cheaper frames don't have the roller or ball bearings and they always seem to get sticky after several uses. I bought it to use with ceiling paint.
