Product Overview

The Wooster 9 in. Professional Roller Frame has a unique retaining spring that securely holds the roller to prevent it from walking off a cage. After painting, the cover removes with a single rap of the frame on the edge of a paint bucket. Its twin bearing system eliminates friction that causes graying and streaking in paint. The cage provides uniform, full-span support of the roller cover to prevent it from going out of round. Its handle is threaded for easy attachment to all extension poles.

  • Durable fiberglass-reinforced nylon cage and end caps
  • Polypropylene grip with reinforced threads
  • Retaining spring securely holds the roller
  • Smooth bearings eliminate graying and shank wear
  • Threaded handle for easy attachment to all extension poles
  • Cover removes with a single rap of the frame on the edge of a paint bucket

Customer Questions & Answers

do you have painter pole for sherlock frame ?

Yes I used a pole purchased at HD

How do I clean the frame

The bearings in the frame make the roller rotate with very little friction (the first time you use it). Now the roller frame binds when trying to rotate it due to dried paint. Any recommendations for cleaning?
Asked by: nick
Use warm water with a mild detergent, such as a dish washing liquid.

I use the Sherlock extension poles and this frame mounts with a click and locks on the hex indent at the base of the handle. This keeps the frame from twisting off the pole when I get into a corner. Holds paint roller covers secure and is a breeze to clean. I like tools that last and perform well and this is probably the 10th one I have had to purchase over the years I've been painting (40). I won't waste my money on the cheap throw away pieces since this will outlast a dozen or more of those. If you plan on painting more than just a wall invest in a good tool. This is it.

This roller does a great job securing the roller onto the frame. I normally have an issue with the roller sliding and creating room for extra paint to be grabbed by the roller, this roller prevents that slide from happening. In addition to controlling the placement of the roller, i also found this to be very smooth and quiet. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

I bought this roller because it said it keeps the roller from coming off the handle - it worked good for about the first hour and then the roller started creeping off the end. Disappointed that I paid the price I did for something that isn't keeping the roller on the handle.

Great for standard 9" roller covers...it actually stays on the handle instead of slipping off like the cheaper ones. It's affordable too. Just as good as the purdy one, just don't soak it in water or else its gonna squeal like a pig.

However, I've done a lot of painting over the years and this is the first time I couldn't get the brush off the roller so I had to throw the whole thing out. Even my husband tried.

Best part is the smooth rolling we got when using it. Would purchase again - but the quality is so good I would be surprised if we had to replace it anytime soon.
