Questions & Answers

I have been wondering if I can use one of the other wooster Pro nap rollers since they do not specifically specify for "epoxy"?

I as this question because on our outdoor concrete patio we want to 2 step epoxy shield in the video from Home Depot the professional stated that a denser nap roller is to be used for ground surfaces whereas a less dense nap roller is to be used for a smother surface. Does any company make a 2-step Epoxy Shield 9in. Nap Roller any denser than 1/4 in..? I found many other rollers with variance in density, however only one that specifically stated it was to be used specifically for 2-step Epoxy-Shield for our door concrete patio? If Home Depot carries would you please direct me to it?

NO! You do not want to try anything that does not say it is for Epoxy. Not sure which video you are referring to, but it sounds like they may have given a little more information than most people need. The denser a roller is, the more paint it can carry without splattering, and the more evenly that paint will be spread. You don't have to worry about carrying any paint since it is poured on the floor anyway. You also do not have to worry about "splatter" for this same reason. I have bought and used this model roller cover on more than 10 jobs and everyone came out perfect. I give you credit for fully researching the tools and such for a project before you start as most people do not do this. I have a very useful review on the Epoxy Shield you may want to read. Cheers!

the directions on my epoxy garage floor paint says to use a 3/8 nap roller. can I use a 1/4 nap roller? is there any differen

Asked by: ken
A 1/4" nap creates a surface that is a little more smooth than a 3/8". It also holds less paint, but more than likely you are pouring the paint on the floor, so this is not an issue anyway. So YES, a 1/4" will work great. Cheers!

Customer Reviews

9 in. x 1/4 in. Epoxy Glide Roller Cover is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Execellent Results The product has worked PERFECTLY for me on numerous jobs with ZERO fuzz left behind. I still always have at least three rollers on hand for each floor I do, Just In Case something goes wrong. I highly recommend you do the same as you can always return any extras. What you can’t do is stop the Epoxy drying process when you accidentally kick the roller into the planter (No Brain, No Headache). However, luckily for me I had two extras on hand. Plus, the roller becomes useless once the Epoxy starts drying, so if you have a large garage to do, you are going to need two anyway. It is a very small investment to ensure you can finish the job if "stuff happens". Trust me on this one. Cheers!
