These mini roller covers come two to a package and are very good quality.
I used one roller cover to apply exterior paint and primer in one paint to over 100 feet of fascia and soffit boards and also exterior trim around 12 windows. These roller covers are a smaller diameter then a standard 9" roller cover, and they are able to provide a smooth and even finish to surfaces that are equivalent to the finish possible from using standard 9" length roller covers.
This roller cover held up well and did not shed or fray even when coming into contact with aluminum drip edge several times when painting fascia boards.
The roller cover shrinks in diameter as it becomes saturated with paint, but that didn't effect the quality of the paint distribution and paint finish. This roller cover has a 3/4" diameter plastic tube for a core that fits very securely onto a mini roller cage frame from the same manufacturer. This roller cover stayed in place on a mini roller cage frame during over 2 hours of painting and did not slide off like roller covers on 9" width roller cage frames sometimes do.
Used a narrow width disposable plastic paint tray designed for a mini paint roller versus a standard paint tray designed for a 9" width paint roller to avoid wasting as much paint.

We started our project with a medium map roller. This rough surface roller cut the job in half. We were rolling the ceiling over and over again before we bought the correct rollers. This made coverage much easier.

We have to paint the outside of our house and this size and nap was perfect for painting our 4 inch cedar siding. And it only took one coat for repainting!!! Only thing is each one only lasts for about one day of painting, but well worth it. It beats buying a paint sprayer and dealing with the noise and mess of using the sprayer.

Works great for something you need a thicker nap, but also need a smaller footprint.

Great solid product. This is a high quality product from a great manufacturer. The roller covers stay together & don't shed as you are painting. Holds paint well. As a "weekend warrior" type painter, having the better quality products helps give a great finished product!!!

I highly recommend these covers, as I find using great quality supplies gives me a better result. I used these roller covers to paint rough wood basement stairs, anaglypta wallpaper (heavily textured Victorian paper), and inside my closet where prior painting had been spotty - all with terrific results!

You cannot go wrong with the Wooster mini-roller system. The other style mini roller consists of a roller frame that is really just a straight piece of wire. The Wooster actually has a carrier to which the roller goes over.
My Wooster minis are now my "go to" rollers for touch up and trim. No more full size short rollers for me.
The nice thing is these fit behind areas, like for example, your toilet tank if it isn't too tight to the wall. It is also nice for touch up. When someone nicks a wall, I hit it with a little paint from a brush and then roll it out with these to give it some slight stipple to match the existing rolled surface.
OK, the above all speaks about the Wooster system in general. My preference is the 3/8" nap for most jobs. However, this 3/4" nap provides a good alternative for rougher surfaces. Also note they offer sizes greater than 4 1/2" that work with the system. Those rollers are pretty neat too.
I'll end to say that any roller can shed. I've yet to find any brand that is 100% free of sheds. These are fine. My tip I learned? Take some blue painter's tape and tap it on the roller to pick up any stray threads or dirt. This goes for all rollers!
