Customer Reviews

Slotted Abrasives Kit for WS3000 Wood-Tool Sharpener is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Lasting This sandpaper is very quick-cutting and long-lasting. I I got a wild hair and bid on several lots of old chisels on ebay. I wound up with over 40 of them: Stanley, Craftsman, Buck Bros, etc from 1/4" to 1-1/2". The shipping cost more than the chisels did. I just got a new Worksharp 3000 and decided to torture test it with these chisels. They were really beat up and rusty. The cutting edges were blunted and chipped, some looked like they had been "sharpened" with a file, and lord only knows what the bevel angles were. I brought the entire lot to 25-degree bevels and sharp enough to cut myself with using only ONE SHEET of 80-grit and one sheet of 400-grit Worksharp sandpaper. I continued using these same two sheets to flatten the soles and edges and get most of the rest of the rust off. Then I used a Worksharp conditioning pad to remove the pitted rust back down to bare metal before applying a thin coat of oil and Johnson's paste wax to prevent further rusting. These chisels now look like a well-used set of cabinetmaker's chisels. They are already sharper than anything i have bought in a store andI haven't even started honing them!!
