Broke on the very first trigger pull. Thought the ratchet mechanism was a good feature, should have seen the trigger was held in by an extremely thin piece of plastic.
Don't waste your money.

Most of you guys are using this caulking gun for the wrong reason, probably, why it has low rating. As a painter, I need a dripless, lightweight and smooth releasing caulking gun and this one does it. Have had it for a month now and no complains about it!

Loved it until part of it broke beyond repair. Heavy use lasted about 2-3 weeks.

I bought one of these at the store without reading any reviews. I figured since it wasn't the cheapest one it should be fine for my infrequent use. This made it through 1 tube of caulk before the plastic threads holding the whole thing together all stripped and the gun flew apart in two pieces. Don't waste your time or money with this caulk gun.

The ratchet mechanism/ handle which is plastic(composite) broke leaving me to push a tube and a half out by hand since my caulking gun was out of commission. It was not the cheapest one in the store either, it was actually one of the mid to high priced ones available. I have since found a comparable caulking gun at the competition for around $5 actually made of metal with a ratcheting mechanism just like this one.

The aggravation of having the handle fly off every time you apply enough pressure to get the caulk to move is a waste of effort and time, the wasted money is the least of my dissatisfaction with this product.

On the first one, the plastic ring holding the body to the cage will not stay on. Returned. The second one had a misaligned tip cutter. Luckily had a pocket knife. When it worked, it worked well. If the plastic ring screwed on better, would make a good gun.
