Thank you for your interest in Bernzomatic products. Yes, this cylinder is appropriate with the proper fittings. Typical Camper\RV systems use a Type 1 acme connection. This cylinder has a internal left hand thread, female POL valve. You will likely need to purchase an adapter to turn the female left hand thread, into a standard type 1 connection. Thank you for your interest in Worthington cylinders. Yes, this can be stored in the elements. However, if you would like, you can simply cover the valve and collar with a tarp & straps ( a weighted lid or board?) or something similar. But it is not required. If the tank is not being used, yes, the shed would seem to be a good idea. If you have any additional questions please call 1-800-359-9678 or Read More

Tired of refilling the 20 pounders but I am wondering if this is too big for my needs. How much does it weigh when full? Thanks! Incidentally. I use the smaller tanks to heat a shop with one of the tank-top burners.

The complaint I have with the tank is that the description doesn't mention that the valve is NOT correct if you get home delivery of LP/Propane. This type tank cannot be filled by any gas delivery truck. So, you have to transport it to a location that does refills and then bring it home. Which is fine if you have a truck/trailer and are young and strong of back. Otherwise, don't bother.

I bought this tank because of price and size - my propane heater required a 100# tank. I was not prepared to deal with the hassle of trying to actually hook it up because it does not use standard fittings, which Home Depot does not sell!!! A local plumbing supply store didn't even know what the fitting was. It's not a 5/8" standard hook up. Its a CGA-510 (which I found after reading all the questions below). No where local sells this. Now I have a full tank that I can't hook up and have to order on line. It would have been nice had Home Deport or their website explained this at time of purchase!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HomeDepot back (JUNK) yard tank sale. Previously ordered 2 40lb Worthington shipped to Commerce store..those were delivered new and intact.... then I needed 2 100lb tanks asap without waiting so... The Blairsville store had them in stock... or rather something in the back lot for years in stock.....I drove 120 miles. the tanks are rusted around the valves ... green like they have been out in weather for 12 years ( time to recertify ?) and no markings. On the collar are DOT markings and the rusted connection to Omega vavles which have markings.... disappointed is understatement..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 100 lb propane tanks we bought two of the same ones from costco last year for our house. We were very pleased with them and decided to buy two more. So since we could not get them through costco I found these through home depot. Very pleased with them and now we have 100 plus gallons and this will last us through the winter almost. So much cheaper then the propane companies who screw you through the winter. We just fill them up through costco. We bought a switch over valve and connect two bottles at a time and this automatically switches over to the next bottle when the first one is empty. So great for us and this saves us a lot of money in the long run. Very happy since we are retired.

The fill valve will only accept screw in type fitting, it is flanged, so the regular fitting (outside) will not work. I am now looking for an adapter. The tank is fine, just gotta fix this issue
