I want to install it tank horizontally instead of upright vertically and want to know if it comes with instructions for that position?

I noticed the picture of one of the other questions for this tank..the picture that was entered into a drawing..shows the tank laying down mounted on a golf cart...but if it was rotated incorrectly, the inner supply tube would get liquid instead of gas vapor wouldn't it?

Thanks...and I love you

Answer:
All propane bottles must be positioned in the upright position when used. Having them on their side or upside down will allow liquid propane to be released. There may be special equipment that could be used to put the tank on its side, but I would check with your local gas company before attempting to use a propane bottle in any position except in the upright position.

Does it weigh 11 lbs when filled? How does one get it filled?

The title says it is an 11 lb tank empty. But the specs say it weighs 13 lbs. The cost is $56 -- does this include propane, or does one need to fill it as soon as one gets it? Does Home Depot fill them? If so, how much does it cost to fill?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Worthington cylinders. 11lbs is the propane capacity of the tank. 13 lbs. is the Tare (empty) weight. After filling this tank it will weigh 24.1 pounds at most. The advertised price is the empty cylinder. An internet search of fillers near you is likely the easiest resource to locate a fill station. If you have any additional questions please call 1-800-359-9678 or email: Read More

Answer:
If you search on line, the dimensions of the bottle is shown in the specifications list. You should also check the width size because shorter bottles are often much wider, it depends on the quantity of gas you wish to carry that will determine its size.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 54 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 11 Lb. Propane Tank I like the size for my Trailer. It's hard to find smaller tanks. Home Depot was the only one that had them! Great!!!! September 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steak's on the grill This size is very hard to find, and it is great for grilling as often as we do. It fits under the table nicely. It only needs refilling half as often as the 5 lb size, yet it is portable. April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 11 lb propane tank This is a good size for camping especially if you need two stoves. We got it earlier than expected. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the wheel well I bought this to fit in the wheel well with my pickup camper and it is great for that. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just the right size A good solid propane tank, I like the smaller diameter size because it is easier to carry and fits into smaller places for when we go camping or on a picnic. Also we usually don't want to take a huge 20 pounder or several small 1 pound cans. It is tall and skinny, other tanks of this weight are short and fat. This makes it easier to pack and not have it at the bottom of the pile. It is the same height as a standard 20 pound propane tank just smaller diameter. I fits on my BBQ and the camper when we need a back up to finish if the main tank goes empty just before you finish cooking the dogs, or you need something to keep you going so you don't have to go by propane because you are out. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly Right The old tank expired. I wanted a slightly larger tank but still narrow around the middle.. This tank met my needs perfectly. When I had it filled it took about 50% more than my now obsolete tank, which is what I wanted. I'm sure this tank will perform flawlessly even after its "Calibration Date" arrives. July 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for my Teardrop Trailer I love this tank. I needed a small tank to use for my Little Propane Campfire for My Teardrop Trailer. It went for 9 days of using the campfire everymorning and once at night. Nothing like having an instant warming campfire to drink coffee and have camp toast. It's a perfect size to transport on the tongue area of trailer. Lightweight and I received it in the mail ASAP. Great product July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great tank for an apartment I bought this little tank for my son to keep at his college apartment in Oregon. It was quite expensive but the perfect size for his grill. What I discovered when I went to get it filled with propane is that it must be purged by a licensed propane distributor first. Gas stations that sell propane can not do this. There was no mention of this when I was researching this purchase. It took several days and much inconvenience before we could get the tank purged. Once we did, however, we were able to get it filled and it worked perfectly on the grill June 28, 2016
