Answer:
I am sorry the batteries are not interchangeable and will not be able to use another battery voltage on this tool. You would only be able to use the 20v with your tool.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!! this product is extremely light and easy to use this was also east to assembly August 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Will only last a couple years If you want to replace your trimmer every couple of years, then this is the lightweight weed eater for you! The control board went out on it before the 3 year mark and considering I only use it during the summer I probably only got a year and a half use out of it. For $100 a pop thats not a good product. The battery still works though. For a small yard only. It takes 3 batteries to do my half acre lot. June 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great, while it worx! Light weight, good performance and adequate to care for my approximately 1/3 acre of grassy areas adjoining shrubs, etc. Two 20V batteries required to do entire job. However, it failed exactly one-week out-of-warranty. Probably the micro-switch in the handle - infamous component if of poor quality and will always fail after X number of operations - one week out of limited warranty! I purchased another because of my investment in the 20V batteries - for ONLY that reason. WorX would offer no reasonable compensation outside the Limited Warranty. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very satisfied I ordered my WORX 20V trimmer...it came with advertised extra battery and 3 spools of cord.I charged both batteries overnite.....did my front and back yard..PLUS..."edged" my driveway and sidewalk....came out beautiful.....took about 45 mins to 1 hr....my battery was just as strong at finish as its was when I started...I am very pleased thus far... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great weed eater very easy to use ,light weight makes it easy to carry around for all members of the family ,battery last long enough time to trim entire yard and fence and then some ,fast charge April 5, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Abtoy Miss my black and decker grass hog...worx works well but it's more for someone who is only going to trim and edge a small garden/bed of flowers. Very small cut radius and must do several passes to get edges just right... April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Very easy to use, lightweight and recharges quickly April 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Battery Life I like to wait a year or two to see how the company stands behind its products and how well the product holds up. This is the cheapest company I have ever dealt with. The blower, trimmer and edger are okay at best, but the battery life it TERRIBLE! After only one year, half a year of use because I live in Chicago, the battery already begins to not hold a charge. I DONT recommend this product because of the batteries. Even after calling WORX to explain that I really have only used these batteries for two seasons, they would not help me out. I would look elsewhere. October 15, 2015
