I bought this product because I have severe back problems but I love my lawn work. I can't use a gas edger because they are too heavy and bulky. When I saw this I fell in love with it. It's a great concept and was easy to use, lightweight and adjusting the head for edging/weed eating was also easy. Problem...batteries are worse then poor. Also, the unit itself didn't last one summer. The first thing to go was the auto-advance string. It wouldn't advance or it spit out string till I had a foot of it. I'm now looking for a small, lightweight gas edger. Thank goodness I was able to get my money back. I wouldn't have given this trimmer one star but you have to give it something to be able to post your review.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SunWorshiper1 Not a good product
I bought this 2 summers ago. The first summer if worked fine but the battery didn't last for the entire back yard. I have a small ranch on less then a 1/4 acre; it should have had enough power. The following year the trimmer line would not advance when it broke. I had to stop, take off the cap and pull the line out by hand everytime it broke. Very frustrating! Also the metal guard (that protects your flowers) when folded in; the line hits if which makes your line break more often then it should. Do not buy this product unless you want to replace it every year.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by RobInIrving Worked.........when it worked......
Purchased this tool for my mother as she likes to assist my father in outside work. I figured it was lightweight enough for her to carry around without any issues. And while she did enjoy using it, and it was relatively easy to use, after a few months it just quit on her. She charged the Lithium battery and used it accordingly. Kind of sad when a 60 year old 120 lb woman can work it to death. Good design and good ergonomics (lightweight and easy to use), but those things don't matter if the tool dies after 2 months of use.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BPK63 Battery is it's downfall!
Works great for a month or two. Do yourself a favor and look for batteries for this thing, and you'll see a million reviews about how bad this product is. Don't believe me, just google it and read. I bought this in May 2010 and the next spring the battery is shot. It worked good for one summer. The battery costs almost as much as the unit so I'll be shopping for yet another string trimmer. Stay away from anything from Worx.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chuck Nice product, preforms well
I enjoy the light weight, medium duty, and long battery life. My arms would hurt for a couple days after weedeating my and my parents yard, Now I can weedeat normal yard conditions (not heavy area's) without stress of elcetrial cord, or gas powered issues. Adjusting end make for cleaner lines and even close to fence, siding, and latex pool areas, with out damage.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TJAnderson Battery Kills It
When I purchased this item, I bought a spare battery. Good thing I did. The first battery worked three times, and was never again able to hold a charge. The second battery still works, but just barely. I might get 5 minutes of trimming done before it dies. And, if you haven't noticed, these are VERY EXPENSIVE BATTERIES!!!!! Without reliable batteries, this item isn't worth buying.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cordog Excellent value on an excellent trimmer
First off, this is an 18V battery powered trimmer. You are NOT going to be able to fight through the Australian Outback brush with this. Now, that being said, this amazing lightweight trimmer is a perfect replacement for my old Craftsman rechargeable. The lithium battery is super light and on the first use I was edging and trimming like a pro! I'm going to include a picture I took of my driveway after the first use. The head is adjustable to get just the right angle for edging. The best part is, I got this on clearnace at my local HD in Northern VA for an absurdly low price. The only draw back I do have is that the instructions are basically small pictures and the head is a little difficult to move between angled and straight positions. But those are small issues on this overall great trimmer. I was skeptical going from 24V to 18V but am seriously glad I bought this item. It was priced less than a replacement battery for my old trimmer.
