Wanted a low-cost electric chainsaw for light duty around my home. This brand was rated high in Consumer Reports, and a consistent theme was that in choosing a low cost saw one should look for at least 12 amps power so this one met the test. You will notice many in its price range such as sold by Harbor Freight have only 8 or 9 amps. I have only used it for one job--pruning a mature coral tree including branches up to 18"--and it performed nicely even though I did not have the recommended 12g power cord. Fairly lightweight, straightforward to operate, seems safe, and cut clean without ever a derailment of the chain. Does go through the oil pretty fast and the small bottle provided will last you about 5 minutes, so better purchase a good supply to have on hand. Cleans up easily. Highly recommend this brand and model from Home Depot for light yard duty.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Woodmaster Did the job!
Purchased to fell small trees up to 7" diameter. Cut very well! Seems more horizontal cuts caused chain bar to loosen more and chain to come off. Good news! No tools needed to put it back on. So it goes back on in a couple of minutes and you need to clean it out anyway. Possible cause of bar loosening is the chain bar oil I used was Amzoil synthetic which is very very slick! Cutting the trees/limbs to length was a breeze. These were hardwood trees! My arms were tired (5-6 hrs. cutting) but not nearly as much had I had a gas powered saw. A little better handle for horizontal cutting would be a plus.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paul Very good chainsaw - does job well
I "almost" wish more limbs would've blown off my big oak tree...........I did say almost! This chainsaw cut threw branches 8" in diameter like butter. It's very light and reasonably quiet. It's nice not to have to pull to get it started.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by asneekyninja I was skeptical......
I was skeptical since it was a corded saw, but I live in town, and i didnt wanna be too loud and I didnt want it to be heavy. This worked perfect, 4 hours of continuous use later and it was still working and my body was not. From Shrubs to Trees it knocked them all down!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Murphy Worxs chainsaw
I bought this chainsaw plug in 14" direct from worxs and I love it. I have cut trees up to 12-14" in dia. with no trouble. I have to say that i never used a chainsaw before and was afraid to use a gas saw so i got this after reading some reviews. I have to say the saw works well, no not for a pro or clearing many areas of land. but for the average home owner thats needs to cut a few trees it works great. The saw doesn't KICK back like gas saws and feels very safe. Speaking of safe this is the only Electric saw I could find that had the safety bar. Most have a safety bar but don't stop the chain. Also when you release the trigger the chain stops right away. Love it, get one. I did buy safety chaps to protect my legs which makes me feel even safer.

bought a couple years ago and have been happily impressed each time i use it. i got the 14 because it has a slightly smaller motor which is better for long extension cords. i use a 100' cord and have cut about 20 cords of oak so far. same chain and all. plenty of pep and safe as can be. high marks from me. i have a husquavarna 16 for away jobs but the worx is my go-to for close to the house.

Bought this tool approximately a month ago used it once and felt like a real out doors man, minus the extention cord. It worked properly and it did complete the task. happy to have own my own this time to not have to borrow my friend earl's was a big relief. Because he was so protective of using his, always in a rush to get it back. with my own it felt good to start and stop when I was ready. and finish the job!
