Answer:
The simple calculation is Amp x Volts = Watts.
This 14" 8 amp chainsaw would be 8 A x 110 V = 880 W.
2000w generator = no problem.

Do I have to press on that black button (for oil) every time I use it. My friend said yes and I said no.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 61 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product I've used it quite a bit since purchased. Seems to be working just fine. Sick of dealing with gas engines and this electric onr fits my bill June 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy to use chainsaw I've had several gas chainsaws that were a pain in the neck to use (start, adjust tension, mix gas-oil, etc) so I wanted something that would do the job with as little hassle as possible. This chainsaw fits the bill. It came fully assembled. The auto chain tighten works as advertised. (You have to manually tighten it the first few uses but that's easy too. Just follow the directions) The only drawback I can find is it leaks bar oil. There's a line on the reservoir for minimum oil but no maximum so I don't know if I'm over filling it or it's a flaw in the design. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for this problem. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great chainsaw Chain saw was very easy to use. A very good value. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lightweight and easy to use. I bought this because I had one tree to take down. I saved time and money doing it myself. I have a couple of neighbors who will use it when they need it. The chainsaw was all ready to go out of the box, just added oil. Cut through my birch tree with no problem. Sharp chain, proper tension. Way less noise than a gas powered chain saw and probably safer. I have used an electric chainsaw before, years ago, different brand. I am very impressed with the quality, weight, durability and ease of handling. I own several other WORX Tools and all are very high Quality. TTHANKS WORX. October 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Big things come in small packages! Just bought this, this weekend after having a tree come down. Let me tell you, this saw is amazing. Cutting up this tree like it's a twig. I highly recommend this chainsaw for anyone! October 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It Worx I used the saw for the first time and it seems to work fine. The gears are made of plastic so we will see how long it holds up. I was not happy when I set the saw on my air compressor over night and found oil all over the compressor and down on my paver driveway. I had loosen the cap and re-tighten it. September 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cost Effective but! The unit performed admirably between chain throws. In the first 2 hours of operating the unit had to re-seat the chain five times. I would attribute this to stretching. September 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad but it has its problems... I got this saw after searching for something that would be easy enough for a woman to use. I have a weed eater from Worx and this looked great. Not super big but big enough to take care of the littler stuff. The directions shows how to use the saw but I didn't do it. I will try though. The problem I have is just like everybody else, oil leaks out of the saw when not in use, and the chain pops off frequently. I used it according to directions and that darn chain keeps popping off. The bad part was I was teaching myself how to use it when the chain first popped off. I didn't cut anything. Other wise I cut my tree and it was probably a job that a professional should have done but I wanted to do it. The saw and I both survived. The sound it makes is like something I would use to trim the bushes around the house. I like that quiet. Still going to use it and hope the chain settles in. October 1, 2016
