Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great chainsaw I used this to chop up a fallen ash tree trunk (about 18-19" in diameter at its base) - worked like a charm. It's very easy to use and well balanced, cuts with ease and power. I've brought power with a 14 gauge outdoor extension cord 100ft long - no problems. Few gotchas though - first, the amount of chain oil included in the box is barely enough to do few cuts, it only touches the bottom of the oil level window. So make sure to pair this with a bottle of good quality bar&chain oil (like Echo). Secondly, the kickback brake lever leaves a rather narrow gap to the holding handle - if you have a big hand, watch out to avoid tripping the brake inadvertently. With the disclaimer of not being an expert in chainsaws and/or their related safety, it'd make more sense to me for the kickback brake lever to be away from the handle when it's released (rather than towards it). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple-to-use electric saw with just the right features. So far this electric saw has proved to be a very good buy. It keeps things simple to operate and performs its job well. I chose this electric saw to perform some small jobs around the property that didn't call for the gas chainsaw, but I still wanted a decent amount of power. At over 14 amps, this was one of the most powerful 16" saws available, and for a very good price, in my opinion. Quality seems to be more than fair, especially considering the price tag. This saw feels fairly heavy for its size (heavier, I think, than my gas 55cc saw). My only complaint would be the tool-free chain tensioner. It works okay, but it seems to be overly limited in its range of tension and initially required a bit more futzing around than I would like while the chain was stretching/breaking in. Aside from that, I've had zero issues and the performance has been pretty good. The saw does go through a fair amount of bar/chain oil, so check frequently, but that is preferable to too little oil on the chain, so I don't consider this a detraction. July 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An excellent tool at a great price! I just used my newly purchased saw to buck a fallen Chestnut tree that was about two feet in diameter. I had originally exhausted myself trying to cut it up with my faithful Swedish bow saw by hand. I can tell you that this saw cuts through hard wood like butter. Very little pressure is necessary, as it will cut under its own weight. I once owned a gas-powered chain saw that was annoying for its noise, and also because the gas tank soon emptied. But this beauty is nice and quiet, and not having to refill a gas tank is very nice. The kick-back cutoff switch is a nice safety feature, and while I have not yet experienced any kick-back, it's easy to see that the auto-shutoff would work very well. It's very easy to handle, well-balanced, and I am so far, completely delighted with my purchase. December 25, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Chain Saw My old chain saw is 10+ years old. There was a leak in the plastic oil container and the chain kept slipping. No replacement parts for the oil can and at the end I would get about 10 minute of use before I had to stop and put the chain back on. I guess 10 years is a good run for a little chain saw. King County (Seattle) library system provides us taxpayers with (part of our property tax assessment goes to library) access to Consumer reports and I selected this product based on their report. So far so good. I go to Jazzercize a couple times a week and we lift dumbbells for 5-10 minutes every session so I am probably stronger than most 70 year old women but it is pretty darn easy to handle. Has a nice safety lever which the old one didn't have. The largest limb I have attempted to cut so far is about 7 inches in diameter. It made quick work of it. Here is hoping for another ten years for both of us; the Worx Chain Saw and me. September 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by awesome electric chansaw The Worx electric chainsaw was a great choice for me. It had the power to cut through a large fallen tree in my yard. Although the extension cord was a minor hassle, I liked the convenience of always starting and always stopping when I pulled the trigger. I felt safer using this chainsaw more that a gas powered one. I was very pleased at this purchase, and would recommend it to anyone. November 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little chainsaw Great little chainsaw once you get the chain properly tightened up! Zipped thru the tree like any gas powered saw would do! I don't have but an occasional use for a chain saw... the last one I bought was gas and the gas turned to lacquer before I had another use for it... love this electric one! November 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Chainsaw I have owned and used numerous 16 to 18" gas chain saws for over 50 years and have found , as delivered (with exception of filling the oil), this chainsaw to be the easiest chainsaw to use that I have ever owned. It cut up a 20" oak tree with minimal kickback and maximum ease of use. Not having to pull to start really reduced the work required.; The automatic chain adjustment worked great and even when I got the chain pinched, a simple rotation of the large knob controller rectified the loose chain with ease. Best buy I have made in a long time. Ken K, St. Louis MO October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good purchas I purchased for my daughter now I have to purchase one for me. an electric saw is much easier to handle than a big chain saw and with the chain self tightening that is even better for the small jobs I have around the house. December 29, 2015
