Product Overview

You'll get the most out of your chainsaw with this electric model from Worx. It has a patented tool-free chain replacement and auto-tensioning system that maintains proper tautness during operation automatically. To maintain stability during cutting, there are all-metal dogs at the base of the 18 in. bar. For constant lubrication to both the bar and chain, there is an automatic oiling system. Each Worx chainsaw is equipped with a 6.75 oz. oil reservoir with an oil level indicator. For safety, there's a built-in safety chain brake that stops the chain in seconds when improper contact is made, protecting the operator in the event of kickback.

18 in. 15 Amp Electric Chainsaw is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 248.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots power This saw can really cut In my opinion, it has more power than gas saw. I've taken out a lot of medium size trees and a couple large trees. I have 12 acres and need to thin out trees so to get a better view of mountain range and sun sets I have a generator that is portable, just move it were it is needed and start it up and plug in No more mixing oil and gas No more having hard time starting chain saw No more working on carburetor No more breaking the pull string I ran out of bar oil , so I used some Castro motor oil I hope that's ok Very impressive power Just keep the chain sharp cause that makes all the difference in the world I actually have two chains And avoid dirt with the chain saw chain As dirt dulls the chain more than wood

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful, easy to maintain. Just keep adding chain oil, and keep working. Much easier than the gas chain saw. I have both, and will newer use the gas one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

When cutting down a tree I had my choice between this and an Husqvarna 55. Surpassingly I used the worx for 90% of the job. I liked that it was quiet, very light compared to the gas counterparts, didn't have to hear it constantly idle when not in use, and the automatic chain tensioner was a dream come true. For the entire tree I had to tighten the chain 3 times. Not to mention it was extremely easy to do, no tools needed. I'm not saying it is just as powerful as the Husqvarna 55, but it was enough to get the job done. For a home owner looking to keep a few trees trimmed, or take a few out this is the way to go. The only downfall that I don't like about all electric chainsaws is chaps won't offer any protection to your legs in the event of an accident. But I will say the chain brake works very well on this saw. All in all, I'm very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome power for its size! Much lighter and a lot less vibration with comparable power to a gas powered saw, for less than half the price. So far I have cut up 15 cords of firewood without any problems. Logs were up to 18 inches in diameter, oak and cherry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Saw, Great Price I had a 50 foot Maple tree with five trunks that died. I got a crew to cut it down for me but to keep cost as low as possible I told them to just get it on the ground. That left me with large sections of large diameter logs in my yard. I bought this saw to cut the tree to smaller pieces and it is impressive. The power this saw has is hard to believe. It is like using a gas saw without the hassles of not knowing if it will run or not when you need to use it. The gas these days is so hard on small engines if you don't use them regularly. This electric saw solved that problem and performed like a champ! I highly recommend one if you have a need for a chainsaw for use around the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's awesome, no more gas powered tools for me I bought this saw 2 weeks ago. It works great. I have cut a half dozen trees down with it, anywhere from 10 inch to 18 inch diameter, and it never bogged down, it cut through them like butter. The chain adjuster is also a great feature, no tools needed, you just turn a knob counter clockwise until it gets loose, then turn clockwise until tight. It is a great feature, it takes about 10 seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worx 18 " Chainsaw I love my Worx Chainsaw. It's powerful & easy to handle! At a glance, I know when to add bar & chain oil. Tightening the chain by turning the knob is very efficient. It's also handy if the chain gets caught in a tree. Simply unscrew the chain tension knob to release the blade from the saw. No tools are necessary. Reinstall the chain & blade & you're back in business in seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome chainsaw Have used it several hours (WG 304.1 15 amp 18 inch), and love it! It out performs my gas saws that weigh twice as much, and cost four times more! No fuss to get it started, and no oil dripping mess like the gas ones are. Make sure that you have an adequately sized power cord, and it's simply the best!
