Product Overview

Now there really is a better choice. Until now, concerns about the run-time and performance of battery-powered lawn mowers may have discouraged you from turning to this greener, cleaner option. With its high capacity 24-Volt Power Tank battery, the Worx WG788 rescues you from your noisy, high-maintenance gasoline mower, without sacrificing power or mowing capacity. IntelliCut Technology ensures you have the power to tackle the tallest grass. With its 3-in-1 Cutting Functionality, the Worx 19 in. Cordless Lawn Mower offers you the flexibility of three different cutting options. The mulching feature chops clippings and distributes them evenly to help the lawn hold moisture and nutrients. The side discharge allows clippings to be swept quickly from the cutting chamber. And the bagging feature allows grass and leaves to be conveniently collected in the included grass catcher bag.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 40 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything and more! I previously owned a cordless lawn mower from a different manufacturer, but gave it to my son when I purchased the WORX 36V with IntelliCut. I particularly liked how it was self propelled based on my walking gait, but what surprised me the most was how long the charge would last. I had a front yard of about 1,000 SF that I would mow weekly and the charge would last longer than a month. No problems whatsoever. I eventually moved out of State and gave this unit to my son and went ahead and purchased another one of the same model. I am very satisfied with the WORX product that I went out and purchased an Aerocart. March 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy I purchased a Worx Pacesetter Lawn Mower and while it work, it was great! However, once it stopped, there are no repair shops, Worx won't give a technician the diagrams to fix them, nor will they sell them the parts to fix them. So after two year, it is trash. I didn't pay that much money to have a disposable lawn mower. September 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Light weight, cuts well I have had this lawnmower for a month. It cuts well and is maneuverable. The battery lasts longer than I do. It has a plastic body, so it will not take abuse but I like the lighter weight. It is not self-propelled but that has not presented a problem so far. I LOVE the fact that it starts so easily. It is quieter than a gas mower and does not pollute. April 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Lawn Mower!! I bought this Lawn Mower three years ago to replace my electric mower. I could not be happier. No more extension cord, and the battery holds a charge for over two weeks. December 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Simple Mower, Excellent Battery Life Yard size is 50x100-ft with pool and patio. This mower has no problem cutting the yard twice on a single charge. It's nice to have the ability to switch motor speeds to use the battery appropriately. In higher grass, there is no issue maintaining cutting ability, but you will have to take your time. If the battery is close to dying, you'll know. However, with a 30-min charge you can knock out a tall grass (10-inch) patch of 15x15-ft . Bag assembly and (dis)connection to mower is the easiest I've every used. Turning radius is the worst feature due to it's very long handle, but nothing you can't get used to. Mulching ability is ok. Haven't used the side shoot yet. Startup is incredibly easy, a button push and lever pull. Full charging of battery after the first complete discharge took a day, but this was expected since it is a new battery. The fact that I could get a full yard's mow when it was delivered with "half" a charge was a pleasant surprise. June 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Magnificent Machinery I have had the wg789 lawnmower for approx 2 yrs and running. I'm using the mower on a little over a 1/2 acre of land with non-stop usage. I LOVE THIS THING. It's Great. It has adjustable height settings, power torqueing for those rough patches, a bagger, a side discharge, mulcher (which is what I use the most) and the best part is the pacesetter technology (what that means is that you don't have to break your back while mowing because the mowers rear wheels work with you to keep that mower going at your pace. GREAT Thinking in Innovation. Last but not least, It's so quiet that my neighbors don't even know its running. March 4, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Lawn Mower I purchased this lawn mower second hand so I didn't pay full price. So far the lawn mower has been excellent. It's held a charge for the 4-5 times I've mowed with it so far. I read the instructions so I charge it after every use and I haven't had to replace the battery but replacements do seem quite steep. Pros: - Don't have to mess with gasoline - Self propelled - Instant start no pulling to start. - Battery holds for entire mow (smaller 1/2 sub division lot). I could easily mow more. Cons: - Self propelling functionality can be a little herky/jerky - Cutting deck isn't the largest at 19" but is sufficient. July 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love Mine!! I had the one that was not self propelled but I gave that to my son and bought this model for me. I have really steep grade on my front lawn and due to health issues it was just more of a workout than I needed. It works great and held a charge over the winter. I was able to mow my entire property on that left over charge. The only thing I would change would be to design some sort of a shield so you don't get grass bit flying back at you when you have the bagger on. I will probably rig something to see if it works. If Worx would like to talk to me about this shield idea I would be happy to expand on it. August 15, 2014
