Product Overview

The convenience of electricity and the accessibility of this tool's extension pole make it a no-brainer choice. With a reach of up to 12 ft., the Worx 6 in. JawSaw Electric is perfect for pruning and cutting hard-to-reach limbs. The extension pole requires no tools to attach and can be removed in seconds. Unlike conventional chainsaws, the JawSaw can be used to make cuts directly on the ground without fear of kickback or damage to the chain. No more bending over and propping up wood to make the cuts - just put the JawSaw on the wood and push down to extend the bar and make the cut. The JawSaw also features auto-tension, an easy-to-use chain replacement and tensioning system with one bolt on the JawSaw's body that does it all. In contrast, most standard chainsaws require two separate tools to replace and tension the chain or replace the bar. The JawSaw's patented chain tensioning system also prevents over-tightening by automatically determining the proper tension, so you can focus on getting the job done right.

  • Reach up to 12 ft. - no ladder needed
  • Enclosed bar and chain for added safety
  • Scissor cut action limits dangerous kickback
  • Jaw design grabs work for stability
  • Auto-tension guarantees optimum tension and prevents over-tightening
  • Automatic chain oiler with oil level indicator for convenient monitoring
  • Perfect for quick clean-up after a storm or for pruning
  • Backed by 3-year limited warranty

What kind of chain saw oil should I use?

Asked by: Joe5226
Use a winter weight oil viscosity soundn't matter if you have a good oil. You also want it to have detergents and lubricants for best performance and to extend the life of the chain, bar, and saw. I use Echo brand chainsaw oil which covers all of the above and is available at The Home Depot.

How long is the extension pole?

Asked by: Veronica
Not very long at all. End to end it is about 78 inches. I think if you are tall (I am 6' 2") you might be able to reach 10 feet but that is a stretch.

I experience strength issues due to health and age. I was looking for a limb removal tool that would be easier to use than the regular pole saws that require manual arm power. I hoped this saw would provide safety with the jaws. I found the tool difficult to use. It was heavy and the saw didn't seem to cut because the limb would avoid the saw by the gap between the saw and the jaws.

Assembly was easy, the only issue was the oil bottle was leaking due to the the rough handling during shipping. This is a saw my wife will use and she won't touch a regular chain saw

Weird design with the plastic piece that engages the saw blade in the middle while it is in place. Hard for one person to get this in the slot and you lose a foot or so. I don't understand the 'jaw' design and why there isn't a mechanism to bring the saw into contact rather than have is stationary in the center. It would seem, that you could sit the branch on the top jaw and have the chain saw move upward. Okay for lite jobs but that's it. It probably sits in the garage.

It does have a substantial amount of weight so using the extension may not be for everyone. It is excellent for removing tree limbs and cutting them into sections for burning or disposal.
