Electric 15 in. Curved Shaft Trimmer/Edger-DISCONTINUED is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light duty only Bought this unit at half price, which is a fair value. This is a unit for LIGHT duty only. Do not expect to edge with this device, because the string is too light. Also, the description is in error, this is not a curved shaft unit, it's straight. I appreciate the many adjustments you can make to be comfortable. The pre-strung reels are expensive, I bought a spare and a roll of string to wind-my-own.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trimmer Product is excellent. Takes a little getting used to switching between edger and trimmer. The only negative is that HOME DEPOT does not stock parts, ie. trimmer cord, in store. You have to order online or rewind your own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied I originally had a Black and Decker grasshog electric trimmer and when the spindle suddenly stopped working (less than 2 years old) I took it apart to find a simple drive gear had cracked. So I contacted Black and Decker and found that no internal replacement parts were available. So prior to my purchasing this trimmer I did some research and found that all parts are available for replacement for a DIYer like myself and that sealed the deal. Once I received this trimmer it was easy to assemble and has been great. With 3 months of weed growth the motor is powerful enough to cut through it all. Much better than the Black and Decker that I had before. It is not an automatic feed style trimmer which I prefer. I feel that auto feed units go through the twine much quicker. The only downside that I have found with this trimmer is the adjustable handle does not seem to stay in the position selected due to the weight of the motor at the end of the trimmer. Not that this is a weighty trimmer because it is actually pretty light but it is the combination of weight and angle. So the adjustable handle has it's own favorite spot to click into which is not uncomfortable when in use it just does not stay in the position that I have selected for very long. So the adjustable handle is a minor short coming to an otherwise quality product and I would highly recommend the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes getting used to, but good. Quality is good. Being tall, I need to hold it differently than designed. Otherwise would tire of bending over slightly. This is why I was low on ease of use. Adjusting from trimmer to edger is easy & quick. The motor at the end was a different feel than the last trimmer I had, which had the motor by the handle. Refilling string is like any other trimmer. Wheels could be a little more substantial, which are only good on smooth surfaces. Edging along gardens the unit must be held. Overall a good trimmer/edger.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yuck! This machine seems to have enough power to do the work I wnat...if only the string feed even approached being functional. I spent forty-five minutes using it, covering about a foot and a half of edging. I should say I spent forty-four of those minutes rewinding the line. The spool that came on the machine was cross wrapped and twisted. The automatic feed was usless. most times the string broke off inside the spoole requiring dis-assembly. The spool is not easy to install, very easy to get the string wrapped around the shaft. I will be returning it this item post haste.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Powerful, but string autofeed doesn't work This unit definitely has a lot of power for an electric trimmer, but the string autofeed mechanism doesn't work, so it make it useless. Like other autofeed trimmers, you have to completely stop the unit and then start it up to advance some line. This would be okay if it advanced enough line to trim, but it doesn't advance enough (if at all) and so you'd have to power it down and start it up many times to get enough line out. But many times the line would get twisted over itself - and this was the brand new stock spool, not one I wound myself. So then it wouldn't feed out at all so you'd have to flip it over to fix it and because of the dual line, it was very awkward to put it back together - it felt like you needed 3 or 4 hands to do it. So after high expectations, this trimmer is going back. I would not recommend because the autofeed feature doesn't work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as expected from the video!! I had a gas trimmer/edger combo, but it pooped out on me. So with the fuel cost going up I decided to get this electric trimmer/edger combo after doing some research online on the reviews I decided to purchase this one as it has great ratings that is affordable. After one use the...well attempted first use to edge my lawn the trimmer line does not cut all day through so I had to go back a couple times to cut those over grown grass edges. I have not even used this to trim the weeds yet as the line keeps getting stuck and does not feed automatically. I had planned on returning it but with my schedule the window to return has expired. So not I have an edger/trimmer that works but a big pain in the gluts to use. I guess the old saying is true.."you get what you pay for".
