I have seen infomercials about this trimmer. Why are they still selling it on tv, but it's discontinued at Home Depot? I would prefer buying it in the store.

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by for people shorter than 6 ft The weight is ideal - very light and the power is more than sufficent - the power charge is good, keeping in mind you should only buy this if you have a small yard - or only need to trim around your mailbox, sidewalk and partial fence, ideal if you live in a condo - this is not they type of edger to purchase if you are taller then 6 foot. It is very light weight, so your wife or child can use it. The safety guide is a waste of plastic, it gets in the way and prevents your from actually edging close to fence lines, mailboxes, etc. Just remove it (or dont put it on in the first place) and it works great. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value This trimmer worx well, but it is not for you if you have an extra large yard or heavy weeds. It does fine for light trimming or edging. I was using a gas trimmer before with a double line and used the .095 line. But, that trimmer bit the dust so I needed to replace it. I like the convenience of haing a cordless trimmer and not dragging an extension cord around. The Worx GT is easy to use and change from a trimmer to an edger. The battery still had plenty of charge even after trimming my yard (took about 25 minutes). If your yard is very large, you might want to order an extra battery. August 21, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not as expected Bought this item because of tv commercials also tired of using gas trimmer with fuel problems and not convenient electric trimmer. Electric trimmer still works fine but extension cords a real hassle. Brought home, put together, set battery to charge same day and charged all night. Next morning attached battery and no power at all. I might have gotten a bad battery, but didn't want to exchange for another one, so returned for full refund. Purchased a competitors brand 19.2 volt, which had mostly all good reviews, so we will see what happens. June 12, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2 Lithium Ion versions dead after minor use...... Bought the lithium ion version of this weedeater, which was supposed to be their premium version. Bought it as a gift for my parents who have 30+ acres. They typically lug around a 15 lb weedeater to do their heavy weedeating, so I figured they could use this one around the house. Big mistake. 1st one went out after 2 months, and the 2nd one went out in about the same time. If this is what is to be expected from their higher end unit, no telling how this unit will fare. Save your money and buy a gas trimmer. September 24, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased I bought this trimmer because I also own the Worx GT 19" cordless mower (which I love). I am not disappointed with the trimmer. Since it takes 4 or 5 charges to reach the battery's full potential, I used it for "mowing" a small part of my yard, where landscaping makes using the mower difficult, in order to run down the battery, and was surprised how long it went with just the first charge. It weighs next to nothing and with telescoping shaft and adjustable head, it's perfect for a 57 year old woman like me. May 2, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love my edger/trimmer I wanted to let everyone know how much I enjoy using my Worx trimmer. We own a gas powered trimmer that is heavy and I can't start by myself. Therefore no weedwacking got done all summer(3 men in the house)get the picture. So,I bought myself the Worx trimmer. It works great.I'm wacking down 3 foot high weeds. My only negative is that it only holds a charge for about 30 minutes.I'm going to purchase another battery so I can keep going.I would recommend this tool to anyone, especially women. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not for me Like many of you, we've seen the commercials and the great advertised potential of this product. However, what is good for one definitely is not good for another. The string is too thin and flimsy, also, the wheels for edging do not roll well, if not at all. In regards to the power, it is not strong enough. We have an 1acre lot and bought mainly for keeping our flower beds well groomed and this trimmer could barely do the job. I will be taking it back to the store. June 24, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by POWERFUL AND MIGHTY Am shocked at this tool. It has plenty of power and battery life. We had previously always done our edging by hand and WOW. Why didn't we have this trimmer before? We do edging areas now that we thought were just a waste as they were so overgrown and it handled it great. Nice little feature to have the guard to protect plants. Lightweight yet mighty. Don't hesitate on this one as it does everything it claims to do without wearing you out. September 15, 2010
