Like a lot of other reviewers, mine got stuck open when used to prop open the door. I finally got the rod to go back in to the closer but I'm afraid to use it to prop open the door in the future, so what's the point of having it? I'm going to the cheaper model with the old fashioned friction washer concept.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tyrone worked as expected. no problems
Easy to install. Since I was replacing existing closer, I didn't have to drill new holes or mount brackets. I wanted this for the one tap hold open feature.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Adam Adjustment of closing speed too difficult
The "tap n go" feature is handy, and works well, but feels like it might be getting ready to fail, after only 3 months of use. Also, like a closer that WalMart offers at less than half this price, it's closing speed adjustment is VERY touchy: although the closing speed adjustment screw turns at least 3 full times, there's a mere 20 degree window of adjustment wherein the door goes from not closing AT ALL, to slamming shut. Even AFTER painstakingly adjusting it, the door STILL swings shut freely that last foot or so. It might be necessary to go to a much more expensive and heavier-duty a unit, if you want your door to shut quietly.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Iusuallylikeyou Waste of time
This closer stinks. The first Wright closer I purchased stopped working after one month, so I took it back and bought the heavy duty more expensive one. This one does not work at all. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I don't even want to give them a star at all.

Adjustment is very touchy and, worst of all, I can't even open the screen door a full 90 degrees. Even approaching anything above 45 degrees requires much more effort than opening a screen door should require. I have another brand on our (much heavier) glass storm door that opens considerably further and without feeling like I'm forcing it open. DO NOT BUY.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jerry Another new design failure
Another fine example of the many things that is supposed to be a better design but falls way short. Do not do it to yourself. Stay far away from it. Go with the regular old fashioned type, it is superior.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Musclecartoys Adjustment is terrible - use the lighter unit
Like a prior review stated the closing adjustment is terrible. The door either won't close or slams shut. I have a fairly heavy glass door and returned this unit for the lighter duty TAP N GO and the lighter unit works perfectly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pressdisk Excellent, Heavy Duty, Great Value
This door closer is infinitely adjustable and the mounting hardware is sup-heavy duty. Plus the click-to-hold-open feature is way better than the old-style flange. It's a great one-handed innovation. Finally, the closer is well-finished and clean-looking.
