This is a great lamp post all the way around. It comes with expander bolts and a template to help you guide the holes into your deck or concrete. We ended up using a cement 16"x16" pad from Home Depot (Model # 72600
Store SKU # 204659), I used the template to marker the holes, and proceeded to drill the holes with my drill and some masonry bits. Care to see the result? Check the picture! Initially, we would have liked to see them provide some sort of ground screw for the lamp post for a more temporary placement, but the concrete pad we used worked wonderfully; I would actually recommend this method instead!
It's a great lamp post, the light shines bright enough to see 20 to 30 feet around it. It has three settings, one for motion detection and the other for always-on, and the last one is obviously to turn it off. In normal function, it automatically turns on at night and off in the morning. The glass on the lamp post has this different liquid-like pattern on it that shines out on the ground. We really like the uniqueness of this! The light mount has thick-rimmed corners so it adds a "shadow-LIGHT-shadow" effect, blocking light in those areas. Personally, we like this effect!
We want to thank Home Depot for helping us in finding the right concrete pad, and inspiring and encouraging us to think outside the box for the mounting part of the project. The product takes less than 5 minutes to put together, and probably another 10 minutes to drill the holes into the concrete pad. If you do it the way we did, you can then place it anywhere you'd like in the backyard, and then once you find that spot, dig a square and place it in there!
We are very happy about this product, and we don't have any complaints. Solar power is mind-boggling technology to us! We really like that the LED light will never need replacing, but our only true concern is when will the battery require replacement? Only time will tell, but we imagine it will last 2-3 years, giving us plenty of time to enjoy its marvel!
Our neighbor across the street has already asked about it and appreciates the look and sturdiness of the lamp post. It's definitely of great quality!
Our future ideas with this product involve placing a garden around it, with various perrenials and annual flowers! We're excited!

I put this lamp in the middle of my dog yard to give light at night. It goes on bright as they pass in front of it for 30 seconds as often as needed. It lasts all night with consistent sun exposure, set on low 12 hour setting. . In the winter, it works almost as well except when there are 2+ days of dark skies and snow. I gently clean the snow off and it works good as new when it get some more sun. I pounded a long metal stake into the ground, and slipped the light over it.... put 10" garden stakes into each hole, and added garden hook stakes at internals.... it stays put thru any wind or weather. NOW the clicker.. I bought this light 3+ years ago....used it three years in northern Michigan... moved it to Indiana in December.. all wrapped up for 4 weeks.... put it in the yard here, and after several sunny days...it still works like new !!!! How's that for value ??? I am going to put another in the front yard, and am I ever happy to see that it is still available !!

You can not even purchase a lamp post for an outdoor light for the price of this entire fixture. Very easy to assemble maybe 5 minutes and another 30 minutes to mount on a concrete 12 x 12 stepping stone. Being mounted on concrete stepping stone allows for easy movement of fixture yet heavy enough to give weight in case of high winds. Lamp puts out a good bit of light not like the solar lights of 5 years ago. There is an option to have bright light for 6 hours or just a little dimmer light for 12 hours. Either setting is still adequate light. I am very pleased with the purchase and would buy more if I needed them.

I ordered two lights. they come with a switch to select how much time they are supposed to stay on after dark. They look great when they are on. but for some reason, every other night one of the two lights turn off after only a few hours even though I have them turned to stay on all night. it is not a charging issue, as they get sun all day and when I go out and flip the switch to off an back on again, it stays on all night. not sure what the issue is. obviously a program issue. get past that and they look good and shine nicely in our yard. They are very light weight, so you will have to anchor them if you have any wind. easy to assemble, about 2 minutes to unpack and put together.

This post light is very attractive in the daytime. My husband was able to install it pretty easily in concrete. I liked the idea of solar - that's part of the reason for easy installation and is energy efficient. The LED light itself does not shine in an attractive way (a few dots of light on the glass) and doesn't provide much light. Also, I would not recommend the seeded glass. It causes the light to cast spotty shadows around the light.

The XEPA solar powered light is a great option for any yard. The unit measures 77 inches or roughly 61/2 feet tall which is a good size for most applications. The assembly is quick and easy. Some planning is required to determine where to place the unit, to receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. The unit requires a footing of several bolts in other words, the unit should be bolted to a solid surface such as cement. The light has a timer option, which activates after sunset and turns off at either 6 or 12 hours.

This lamp is perfect for lighting up a dark area. The best part is that you do not have to run power to the area you are needing to light up. Very simple operation, and other than the cost of the fixture, the lighting is provided for free.
The 200 lumen lamp appears to provide adequate light to see obstructions and safely navigate an area for about 30 feet. If you have a larger area where brighter or more light is needed, the 300 lumen would probably be a better choice.
We really liked the "antique" design of the fixture, and the bubbled glass. Very stylish and ornate.
We screwed the fixture's base to a piece of plywood so that we could move the assembled fixture around to find the ideal place for the lamp, and where it would provide the most beneficial lighting. This proved to be a good idea, and eliminated any second guessing on where to permanently anchor the lamp.
