I have an 8 x 10 ft shed in the backyard used to store mostly lawn care products and tools. Since there's no need to work in or around the shed after dark, it would not be feasible to go to the expense of hard-wiring electrical lighting. However, for night time security and the occasional night time trip to the shed I thought the best choice would be a solar-powered outdoor LED motion detector light. The XEPA Solar-Powered Outdoor White LED Light with Motion Detection is attractive, very well made, and ideal for this purpose. Mounted over the door of the shed, its 45 LED bulbs turn on as soon as someone is 40-50 feet away and put off plenty of light. I am extremely satisfied.

The light and collector were easily installed. The collector catches and retains enough light in the day to provide ample light at night when motion is detected. I like that the unit looks good and operates even when there are power outages. The light can be removed during power outages to be an emergency light with up to 14 hours of light!

This is a great product if you live in an area where it doesn't freeze. If the temp falls below freezing temps, the battery freezes up and doesn't work.

We live in a rural area and were looking for solar lights to use at night to light up areas where we take dogs out for potty before bed (we have coyotes in our area). Since running electric wasn't an option, we had tossed around solar but we didn't think that solar would give us the type of light needed. This product came up on Daily Deals for half off, so we bought three to try. My only regret is not buying more at that price to use other places on the property.
Set up consisted of taking it out of box and plugging solar panel to light. Let it charge for a full day. Feature of solar panel having a long cord so location of light is not limited to location of good sun is awesome. Another awesome feature is that light itself slides into mounting bracket...so it is removable. I can grab the light if needed and use as a flashlight.
The amount if light is impressive. We mounted two of the lights on a pole, facing 90 degrees from each other, about 8 feet high.. Our rural property has no lights other than our outside lights and the barns next door. These lights easily light the area for us to keep track all the dogs, even on moonless nights.
At 8 feet high, the motion sensor works well enough that when the dogs or I are about 10 feet close, lights will come on. But it is also not too sensitive, I don't ever see it come on out the window, which means it's not picking up rabbits or small critters (and there's lots of those!). I was worried it would be on constantly.
So all that leaves for me not to like is if the light stops working. I researched reviews before purchase. There was a review on Amazon that sold me, he had updated his review over almost two years and it was still working!

Before I mounted these on my home I decided to test the battery capacity, and I'm glad I did. I left them sitting in my back yard for a few days so they could charge/discharge a few times, as it is recommended in the user manual. However, after three days one of the two I ordered still would not stay lit the entire night. Even at a full charge it didn't seem like the two lamps would provide enough light for us, so I will be returning these.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Josh Xepa light works well for a time but after that..(good luck)
I have two lights of an earlier similar model (XP645DS) that I've had for about 1 1/2 years. One of them stopped working, my call to Xepa was fruitless, they don't seem to care as long as it's lasted the length of the warranty period. Needless to say, I'm looking for another light by a different manufacturer.

Fairly easy to install, but haven't been working for more than 6 hours since installed. I'm rather displeased.
