Stay On Whole Night 300 Lumen 42 in. Outdoor Black Solar LED Post Lamp is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stays on all night, Attractive Pattern in Glass Like the other lamps in this series, construction is top notch. No pressed metal weakling with this post lamp. The entire structure is thick cast aluminum. The lamp itself screws down around the top, the middle section screws together and you use three bolts to hold it all to the base. The wrench is included. No tools needed! It asssembles is about 15 minutes after unboxing. Only oneperson needed. The light itself is very sturdy and also cast metal. The glass is real glass, no plastic to cloud up later. It's "seeded" meaning the glass is clear and has little bubbles blown into it all over. A very classy antigue glass look is the result. The LED casts a very bright white light. You can easily read by it if you were standing under the light. It's not a faint glow at all. About the equivalent of a 40-50watt bulb. The base has three holes for the included mounting rods, which can be set in concrete or wood after drilling holes. Or, as with my installation in a flower bed, you just use the 15 inch long galvanized lawn spikes sold at Home Depot and pound all three into the ground. Either way, you have a rock solid installation. The light sensor for dusk to dawn operation works reliably and the motion sensor will pick up movement within about ten feet or so. When on and fully charged the light does in fact last all night. Even in the fall when days are much shorter, before the sun comes up the light is still shining at full brightness. Much better than other lights. It needs about six hours of direct sunlight to charge fully. The 42 inch post makes this great for lighting specific shorter yard features. I have it near the waterfall to give it a beautiful glow, and the frogs will appreciate the moths it will attract in spring. I couldn't be more pleased with this light post. And because of it's alloy construction it won't rot from rust like a steel pole will.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice solar lamp for the right location Out of the box, assembling this lamp is super easy, just attach the base with the included socket head screws. You'll want to clean the glass inside and out before you first use it to remove the hazy film. A bit of glass cleaner and it's crystal clear. It comes with two 18650-type Lithium rechargeable batteries installed. Concrete anchors are included for permanent mounting It appears to be constructed of aluminum, with a nice non-reflective crinkle black finish. The globe is real glass, and it's thick and heavy. The bubbles in the globe's glass look nice and produce a cool lighting effect. The housing is weatherproof; during the recent rain we had, the electronics stayed dry. It's definitely top-heavy and needs to be anchored to the ground. This lamp is a good choice for remote areas like the end of a long driveway, where it would be impractical to run wires. You need to live in a location that has lots of sun all year, such as the southern states. Don't expect it to pay for itself; a wired lamp would only use about 50 cents per year of electricity. Light color is on the bluish side, normal for most outdoor LED lights. Coverage is broad and even. On the High setting, it's equivalent to a 25W - 40W incandescent. On the Low setting, about the same as a small 15W appliance bulb. The light is regulated - this means that it does not get dimmer as it runs, which is good... the bad part is that when the battery runs out of charge, the light just shuts off. I mounted the lamp in a "full sun" location and set the switch to Auto (the Low setting). On average, it only ran about 8 hours at night. On lightly overcast days, it only ran about 3 hours. On heavily overcast days (rainy) it wouldn't charge. Then I manually charged the batteries to check actual run times; fully charged, it ran over 26 hours on the Low setting, and exactly 5 hours on the High setting. So your actual run time at night will vary depending on how much charge you can get from the solar cell. Overall it's a nice lamp, but I think the solar cell is just too small since it's fixed at a "flat" angle. If it tilted up, it would make a huge difference. You'll have to evaluate your situation (latitude and seasons) to see if there's enough sunlight for your needs. Here in Southern California for example, in the Winter, the light that hits the solar cell at noon is only about 50% of available light, and the morning and evening sun is at such a low angle that there's really only about 4 hours of 'usable' charge time, which is why my actual run times were so low.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does What It Says First, I had a great customer service experience with XEPA. The first lamp I received the glass was broken. They sent a replacement which was in perfect shape. To assemble the unit you use the 3 provided bolts and allen key to attach the stand to the base of the lamp. To do this you will have to unscrew the lamp at the neck (its threaded), cut the tie wraps on the stand, and slide it up over the base. There are 3 provided expansion bolts as this unit is designed to be mounted on a deck. I installed mine in the backyard along a walkway using some tent spikes. A couple days later there were high winds and rain but the lamp stayed in place. Once installed the battery is already charged and ready to go; I did the install at night after work. I should mention this lamp is not very tall, 42" which is perfect for lighting a walkway or drawing attention to obstacles that might be a trip hazard. There are two modes on this lamp a "power saver" (I) and "always on" (II). I'll start by saying mode 2 only stays on for 4 hours which I find marginally useful. Under the power saver mode when no motion is detected the light goes in to a lower power mode and it can last 18 hours (haven't tested that but its on every time I look at night in this mode).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lamp! I love the way these lamps light up. It's had an almost crackled lighting. They are bright enough to light up a diameter of about 5 feet. Only issue was I received the product with incorrect screws. Since its an online only product I went into Home Depot and explained the issue. They were helpful and issue was resolved.
