Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mylamp Light remains on entire night at low setting. Motion detector senses when I walk down my driveway to retrieve my morning paper and light brightens for a brief period. In other words, the product delivers exactly as advertised.

The lamp is attractive and gives a pretty good amount of light. The only problem is that one piece of the pole was damaged in shipping and we are still waiting for a replacement part. Hasn't been very quick service on that part.

This lamp is just beautiful and adds so much to the appearance of our entry way....not only in curb appeal but also lighting up the walkway! The glass lamp projects a beautiful pattern onto the surrounding area and the featureless of it getting brighter as you approach is wonderful. It also produces enough light in the dim modeto illuminate the walkway and shrubbery. It is of quality materials and was east to assemble. I would highly recommend this lamp!

I was pleasantly surprised by the pattern this light casts on the ground. I was expecting just a basic flat light but the glass is etched in a way that turns the light on the ground into circular highlights that gives a very nice effect.
The materials are high quality and solid. The lamp looks elegant even during the day time.
It has two modes of operation; a bright light mode that lasts about 4 hours when fully charged each day by the Sun and a low light mode that comes on at dark and is still going by the time I go to bed. And the low-light mode provides plenty of light across a large area.
The lamp has a built in motion detector that activates the bright light mode when it is running in the low-light mode.
The assembly is easy with threaded connections and the lamp mounts on the post using three bolts that are provided in the box along with an allen wrench.
The product was designed to bolt to a deck or concrete patio and the bolts are provided to this. However, this is beyond my skill level so I used three 12” stakes into the ground. The base is about 12” wide so it does need to be attached to keep it upright. I was also thinking of putting in a terracotta pot with dirt and flowers around it, but it stays put using the stakes.
This is something you will enjoy for years – and you’ll love the pattern on the ground instead of just boring light.

The lamp pole material is solid. Assembly took about 2 minutes (excludes bolting to the ground). We placed it in our backyard at the entrance of the steps. The base of the lamp has a nice design and it needs to be bolted in something solid (Concrete, Asphalt, etc). The battery holds its charge quite well.
After fully charging and installing the light, it rained for two days. But to my surprise, the light delivered during these two rainy days without getting re-charged.
Lamp has two setting; 1 (Low intensity) & 2 (High Intensity). If the lamp is set to Setting-1, it will switch to Setting-2 as soon as any motion is detected and then automatically returns back to Setting-1. On setting-2, lamp continuously provides high intensity light but battery drains a little faster. Overall, the lamp lightens up about 30 feet diameter area. Changing the Setting from 1 to 2 does not cover more area but rather increases the light intensity only. There is also an OFF button that simply turns off the light completely.
The glass of the lamp has a pebbles design in it. What it does is that when the lamp turns on at night, you can see the big pebble shaped shadows on the ground. The shadows actually reduce the overall lighting and adds a LIGHT–SHADOW –LIGHT pattern to the overall environment which in fact is not quite soothing to the eyes. I have uploaded two pictures (Day-Picture & Night-Picture) from the same angle so you can see how the pebble shaped shadows look like.
Except for the pebbles pattern, I like everything about this light.

I purchased this close to two years ago. I have placed this light on my front walkway and it produces enough to light to see. i like that it gets brighter the closer you get to it. I do notice that some nights it doesn't light up. I just assume it's because there's not enough solar power to light it. Not sure. I am happy with my purchase.

Well it looks nice and installed easily, but it doesn't work. It won't recharge. After calling the service department at xepa we were told it needs 6-8 hours of sun a day to recharge it. After a full week of sun, it still won't come on. We are returning this to home depot. What a hassle.
