Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by RussG Looks nice, doesn't stay on long enough
I was impressed by the quality look of the lamp, it went on the post mostly easy, I had to find longer screws.
I got it because the underground wire was shot, and I thought it would stay on all night. When it's on, it puts out a moderate light, I'd be ok with it. Unfortunately, it's winter and the days are short and cloudy for charging. It's been a couple of weeks, and it only stays on a couple of hours after dark, then by 7 p.m. it's off. If it ever gets a chance to get fully charged, maybe it will be better. But if this continues to be the way it works, I'll have to do something different.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Doc766 Great way to light distant driveway and gate
The Xepa Timer Activated 12 hrs. 200 Lumen 3 in. Fitter Mount Outdoor Black Solar LED Lamp is a great way to provide lighting for my distant driveway and gate opening. I placed the lamp assembly atop one of my driveway gate posts and let it charge for a half-day. That night, as I drove home after sunset, I was pleased to be able to identify my driveway gate opening from a fair distance away. The light comes on automatically and goes off after 6 hours of night operation (will provide 12 hours of illumination when set to mode II). The lamp is attractive and convenient to operate with simple off/on mode switch and no wiring is required. I surprised that I can see my drive gate at night from my kitchen window. Now I need another Xepa lamp for the opposite gate post!

Worked for a couple days, then stopped. Back and forth with UEPA for months. Sent me new batteries. Still did not work. Li-Ion batteries are non-standard size. Finally gave up on product

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charlie It doesn't get any easier to install
Does an excellent job of lighting driveway without over brightening. The light fit right on my existing pole, all I had to do was cap off existing power feed since new light is solar powered. The old head I had a 40w equivelent LED in it and this light is pretty similiar output.

First off, this is an attractive looking lamp & I love that it's solar, allowing it to be installed anywhere. I got it for use at a boat dock across the street from the house where there is no electricity & it's extremely dark at night. We'd tried a solar light in the past (before the days of LEDs) & it was virtually worthless. It barely illuminated a 3 foot radius & even then it was very, very dim. So, I was pleasantly surprised with how bright this light is - knowing that there were also 300 lumen lamps, I was afraid this 200 lumen lamp would seem kind of dim. However, that was not the case. Mine has had no trouble picking up a charge even though it's been somewhat cloudy the past few days. I'm not sure if it's lasting all night or not, but it's definitely made it 3-4 hours & I feel certain if it's not lasting all night now, it will be once the days get longer & we have more sunlight.
This lamp does have to be mounted on something (3" diameter), but you can purchase an aluminum lamp base for $5 - $6 if you aren't in need of a 6 ft pole. Since I was mounting mine in one of the corners of the boat dock's upper deck railing, I didn't need a pole & the aluminum base worked perfectly.
Now - for the one major flaw: The glass is textured, causing the light to to throw tons of shadows, similar to as if it were coming through the leaves of a tree. I was definitely note expecting that. I assumed it would be a nice even light that would illuminate the dock area. It does illuminate the area, but in a very patchy way. The textured glass makes the lamp itself look nice when lit, so if you're just getting it for aesthetic purposes and/or you don't really care about the light it puts off, then you'll be fine.
So in summary, works great, but be aware the lamp puts off light AND makes it own shadows.
