As long as your heating floors use radiant heat from water, you should be OK. Be careful of electric heating though. Steel wool is VERY flammable. It is used to start fires when using flint when camping.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for those hard-to-fill spaces! I found that this is just the best for filling those holes where mice come in! We had an infestation in our little travel trailer and this really helped fill those holes. Well, I got some of that expanding foam designed to keep rodents out, and when I combined it with this flexible steel wool rolls, I am certain that the mice will NOT be going in that hole, again. I also used it on my central AC unit to plug holes that needed to get plugged. (I had to call a repairman to repair/replace some wiring that some mice had chewed through, and I did not want a repeat of that. So, I used some of this to fill that hole. All I needed to do was to tear off a small portion of the steel wool and pack it in the hole with a piece of wood. I have mice chewing through my wall boards into my garage, and I used this to fill that hole before I patched it up with another piece of wood. If you live in a rural setting, this is something you can use! October 30, 2015
