Product Overview

The Xtend & Climb Telescoping Aluminum Extension Ladder is a versatile telescoping ladder designed with homeowners and do-it-yourselfers in mind. Standing at a maximum of 12.5 ft. tall and retracting down to 32 in., it's perfect for reaching those higher areas around the house. Compact and easy to use, it still offers the strength, safety and durability to tackle a range of projects. It extends and locks by the foot so it’s only as tall as you need it, and it features double overmolded feet for added durability and traction. When you are done cleaning windows, clearing gutters or painting, it goes right back into the smallest closet or corner of the garage and stays out of the way until next time.

  • Aerospace engineered using airplane grade aluminum alloy for strength
  • 13-steps with non-slip tread ensure you can safely reach up to 16.5 ft.
  • ANSI type II rated for 225 lb. weight capacity
  • Patented true telescoping technology extends the ladder to an impressive 12.5 ft.
  • Anti-slip tread and double overmolded feet ensure stability and traction

Since the description of this ladder says, "lightweight", the obvious questions is "How much does this ladder weigh?" Yet the description omits this important information. Does it weigh less than 20 lbs?

Has anyone had any issues with the ladder failing to work because it got wet, I would be hauling it in the back of my pickup to use on inspections and it would get wet.

Answer:
Hello,
Yes if the ladder gets wet it will need to dry out before the ladder will work properly again. it is not a good idea to let the ladder get wet all the time. If it does you will need to fully open the ladder to let it dry out before you close it up again. Thanks, Jill

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for portability I purchase this item because of it's portability and it works great. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the Jobs! The ladder is easy to set up and move, just what I wanted. Used it several times so far with no problems. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A wonderful ladder! We didn't know this ladder existed until the Home Depot subcontractor came to measure for aluminum blinds. We have struggled to clean very high windows, and when we saw him using this for measuring our windows, we ordered a 12.5 foot ladder that very afternoon. It is well-made, light-weight, and easy to use. April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good ladder Figuring out how to expand and bring back down can get your fingers pinched but just be careful. Works for getting on the roof. For accessing an entry to the attic in a small closet. Feet of ladder has good traction. This was a great purchase. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good for convenience As a contractor this ladder works pretty well for quick jobs that I don't need to haul a full-on extension ladder. It's works easy and is lightweight and compact. Can be a tad wobbly, so I wouldn't want to go any higher. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good product Ladder is light weight and easy to use. Good size for storing. Happy with purchase. November 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase The ladder worked great for my backup attic entrance. Easy to extend using safety color (green - ladder locked) so the ladder is secured. Also, easy to condense back to storage size around 2.5 ft. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Husband is happy. I gave it 5 stars because my husband is pleased with his gift. But he has not put it to heavy use, yet. He is very particular when it comes to his tools. I researched this ladder and it landed a head of the pack. I chose to buy it at Home Depot because I knew he could return it or exchange it for another model it needed. You can get it a bit cheaper off Amazon--but I like the convenience of a store near by if it was flawed or he wanted something different. This seems to be the best one for the price with no complaints on other sites or with consumer reports. I got free shipping on this--delivered right to my door. That's my kind of shopping!
