Product Overview

This Xtend & Climb Telescoping Aluminum Extension Ladder is a heavy-duty telescoping ladder used by thousands of commercial contractors. Lightweight but durable enough for a pro, it opens to 12.5 ft. and closes to 32.25 in., making it easy to transport and even easier to store. Pros like it because the closed size means extra room in the truck, storage unit or garage for more tools or additional workspace. It’s also perfect for do-it-yourselfers who require the heaviest-duty tools to get the job done, freeing up more space in your garage. The ladder locks by the foot so it's only as tall as you need it, and it features double overmolded feet for added durability and traction.

  • Aerospace engineered using airplane grade aluminum alloy for strength
  • 13-steps with non-slip tread ensure you can safely reach up to 16.5 ft.
  • ANSI type IA rated for 300 lb. weight capacity, offering ample support
  • Patented true telescoping technology extends the ladder to an impressive 12.5 ft.
  • Anti-slip tread and double overmolded feet ensure stability and traction
  • Compact 32.25 in. closed height makes it easy to move and store
  • Clean-touch anodized finish is easy to clean
  • ANSI and OSHA compliant for safety

Unfortunately the rubber/plastic (?) release tabs are extremely difficult to operate. Some segments work fine, but specifically the bottom segment is impossible to manipulate with only thumb pressure. The tabs indicate they are released (no green spot showing) but the above segment won't release. No amount of hand pressure will release it. A small, soft-headed hammer is the only solution I have found. Considered taking it back, but the ladder does work and I can live with the inconvenience of the cheap release tabs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Ladder Have only used it a few times, but the ladder seems to be relatively well constructed. It's nice to have a ladder that fits in the car and can reach up to 12.5 feet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but with minor safety issue This ladder fulfills all of the advertised features and I agree with all of the other good reviews. The only issues I have found relate to the colored warning flags shown in the video and some photos. My ladder did not have any of the bright RED flags (that, when visible, tell the user that the section is not locked.) The green dots that tell the user that the section is locked were indeed on my unit. The problem was they are merely stick-ons that were easily moved by the release buttons. A couple of my green dots ended up being visible when the section was not locked. Be careful; don't believe the green dots. Instead, look at where the RED flags should have been. The latch button overhang should cover this region when the section is locked. These safety indicators would have been better engineered if they were below flush (green) or present (red).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't get the ladder wet !!!!! Don't get this ladder wet ! The plungers inside won't work and it is very hard to close. It will not slide closed and the buttons are very, very difficult to push. Almost needs two people to get it closed up. The manufacturer stated it will take 2-3 days in the hot sun to dry out and start working properly again. So if you get wet leaves on it and rinse it off, or use it in the rain, good luck getting it closed up. Otherwise it is a great ladder for getting in your trunk or using inside tight spaces like closet attics.
