Our YARDGARD 1-5/8 in. Dia x 5 ft. 6 in. long 16-Gauge Galvanized Steel Line Post is part of the fence framework and helps support the chain link fabric. These posts should be spaced a maximum of 10 ft. apart and 18 in. in the ground. This post can be used for a 4 ft. high chain link fence.

can you get 4'?

2-3/8 in. x 6 ft. 16-gauge galvanized steel terminal post 1-5/8 in. x 5 ft. 6 in. 16-gauge galvanized steel line post I can't seem to find these for a 4' fence. Thanks Jeeprrz

5’6” posts or 6’ posts are designed to be used with 4’ fences. The post should be set either 1-1/2’ or 2’ in the ground with concrete. Thanks, Stuart MAT

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My fence is up, and it looks great. However, having said that, I think you need to educate your ... My fence is up, and it looks great. However, having said that, I think you need to educate your workers on ordering fence products. The fellow that installed it found multiple problems - and he is a professional fence installer. Beginning with the 1-5/8" posts there should have been fewer of those, because you always use 2'' posts for structure ends. Then the person ordered 2" tops for the posts. So those had to be changed out. The fence itself came pretty bent up on one end from shipping, so much so, that he had to remove some. And his message to whomever built the gate was if he had made that one, they would have thrown it away and started over.
